Jinglers are the most common and widely recognized species of Jewelies found throughout Stonespace. They are easily identified by their blue, gem-like heads, which are circular, yet shaped with petal-like lumps protruding from the corners and edges. These formations give each Jingler a subtly unique silhouette, even among large crowds. Their faces are complex and expressive, featuring obtusely triangular eye shapes with concave curves on the first two sides, and curvy markings that connect to the eyes and dart-shaped mouth. Jingler expressions are read through small changes in facial geometry rather than exaggerated movement. Jinglers thrive under Stonespace’s deep black sky and upon its glowing blue ground, which reflects softly across their crystalline features. This environment is considered both beautiful and comforting to them, and many Jinglers feel uneasy when removed from it for long periods of time. As the middle class of Jewelies, Jinglers are part of what makes the Stonespace society what it is. They are not considered a major contributing class, but always have access to Jewelian civic events, and public services. Most Jinglers are content with their position, valuing stability, routine, and the quiet beauty of their world over ambition or power. Jinglers tend to be calm, observant, and quietly optimistic. While not especially dominant or influential, they are deeply attached to Stonespace and take pride in maintaining its harmony.
