HII long time no see everyone... today i'd like to share my calligraphy/hand lettering journey from 2021 (when i started this account) to 2025! i'd like to say my artistic skills have improved a bit over the years, so i hope you enjoy seeing my progression from the very beginning to the present. click/space/right arrow for next, left arrow for previous. the variable number in the top left corresponds to the descriptions below: 1: yay the first alphabet i did with a brush pen 2: i found more random brush pens and attempted more calligraphy, clearly not in a straight line 3: first bullet journal setup ever. we don't talk about it. 4: practicing calligraphy strokes 5: i tried an alphabet again + capital letters this time 6: next bullet journal cover page, i have no idea what i was thinking with the drawings at the bottom 7: experimenting with adding effects to calligraphy 8: trying different styles of writing my username for the first project on this account lol 9: idk why but i was so proud of this when i made it 10: learning how to do calligraphy not just in one line! 11: 2022 bullet journal setup, my first time using real fancy brush pens 12: another alphabet, i think we can see improvement 13: finally trying some less basic fonts and designs 14: notes from a summer program that i tried to do aesthetically (i probably learned more about lettering than math during that program) 15: i was actually so proud of this bullet journal setup, learning how to make calligraphy intentionally bouncy 16: some of my favorite bullet journal cover pages from 2023! this was probably my most serious bujo year 17: collage of OneNote lettering i did every month during the 2022-23 school year 18: my last nice bullet journal setup before i lost motivation because of high school 19: first attempt at a digital lettering piece! you can tell i'm a cross country kid... i was proud of it at the time but now the color palette hurts my eyes 20: wow i'm trying to actually make nice cards now (the blank parts would have personal info) 21: signs for my cousin's bday party! these were so much fun to make 22: i lettered my own lock screen for my school laptop, super duper happy with this one 23: and a wallpaper to go along with it 24: lettering project for my school! the parents liked it :D 25: a fun little halloween sign for the candy bowl 26: lettering on fake pumpkins that were used as decorations around school 27: signs for the food at my family's thanksgiving - the crane holders were a super cute addition 28: attempting to make pretty notes for driver's ed 29: a bunch of holiday cards i made for charity, the designs were really fun to think of and make 30: cute little packing list because why not make it cute 31: another school project (the blank space should have an arrow pointing to the blood drive) 32: poster for my sister's science olympiad competition! i still love this one so much 33: i designed a giant coloring poster for my local children's museum's earth day event! 34: and this is when it's "colored" in with recycled things... the 5 year olds definitely tried their best <3 35: posters for my neighborhood's annual potluck, also some of my favorites 36: made this sign with a friend on a trip to china, reminder that lettering doesn't have to be in english! 37: we were allowed 1 page of a cheat sheet for a test so this is what i made hehe 38: lock screen i made for the next school year 39: and the wallpaper to go with it 40: greeting cards i designed and sold at a children's business fair with a friend! my first time getting paid for hand lettering 41: a pricing sign for selling the cards (the business doesn't really exist so don't look it up) 42: another year, another set of thanksgiving signs 43: a little sign to go with some chocolates on our front porch! we love our delivery drivers 44: the front of a brainrot birthday card for my sister lol, the inside says to enjoy her last 6-7 years of childhood 45: and we finish with another round of holiday cards! these are some of my favorite projects because they're small yet have cute designs and can totally make someone's day. i hope you enjoyed seeing the journey! this is definitely NOT all of my lettering from the past four years since that would be way too much; i just chose some of my favorites. i will still be inactive from scratch but i'll chat in the comments too since i have missed you all so much! this account makes me both cringe (why was i so obsessed with miraculous?) and smile with nostalgia so much, and i hope you know that you all are the reason for my smiles :) credits: me for all the lettering in the project many, many influencers for inspiration all of you who supported my journey!
