hi rare Mini/Wolf post here. have a yap session this can basically be seen as both fanart and a tne i suppose lol just found out about this series earlier today and was already interested in the idea of getting WinterShadow and Mitski mixed up with the wrong places. i mainly draw my own ocs, og story or infection au, but i've been on a bit of artblock recently soo.. this did give me a chance to step away from that for once xd the hyperfixation is too powerful, but yk it wouldn't hurt trying to draw someone else's ocs for once i also took it as an opportunity to try different cat styles, referencing their actual styles in the actual story itself kind of. (the ear fluff is part of my style so ye) think someday ill experiment more with that on some of my cat ocs another thing, i normally dont draw warrior cat stuff, but i did have a bit of experience with regular forests in general so, as much as i never have drawn anything darkforest or starclan related, it helped :p foreshortening was also another thing i attempted to try, dunno if it worked out but im happy with the final product so i think it worked andddddd another thing i did adjust the eyes a bit. overall there's prob a few things that idk if ill keep for future drawings, but ill prob find a work-around to use certain ones again DeviantArt version for higher quality: https://www.deviantart.com/rabbitofflames/art/SWAPPED-Bait-n-Switch-TNE-1278028844 oh yea another thing, its been like an extremely long time since i last even entered/did a MAP in general (i checked again and its almost been 3 years oopsies)
Characters Mitski and WinterShadow, aswell as the MAP and Switched Fates itself all belong to @CatTheLoaf (i adjusted the colors a tad bit to work a little better with the textures, but unfortunately some details like the little stripes on Mitski's head arent too visible, so i apologize for that :,D) Thumbnail was drawn on Kleki, as you can see in the corner in the next images. this took around 4 hours in worktime, almost 5-6 with breaks 1. The TNE itself/The final product (With the watermarks) 2. Ditto but without the watermarks in case 3. the rushed concept 4. Sketch (i apologize that its kind of messy) 5. Lineart (the background overlaps were removed later on) 6. Coloring + Barrier recolored and given effects 7. Textures 8. Shading/Lighting (tried to stick with the guideline but the sc shading wasnt working for me lol, wanted the two to kinda reflect each other's sides) 9. without the lineart layer. sometimes i do that randomly bc it looks cool, but i never make it the final product. maybe someday ill try a lineless drawing
