now. what exactly is cip? I made this to provide awareness and a deeper insight on what yautja suffers from. :3 congenital insensitivity to pain (cip) is a rare neurological condition where a person is born unable to feel physical pain. the nerves that normally send pain signals to the brain either do not work correctly or are missing important pathways. this does not mean the body is immune to injury; it means the warning system that pain provides is absent or severely reduced. cip affects how the nervous system processes pain, temperature, and sometimes injury awareness. someone with cip may still feel pressure, movement, or touch, but sharp pain, burning, or aching does not register the way it should. in many cases, the brain never receives a “danger” signal, even when the body is being harmed. because it is congenital, this condition is present from birth and is not something that develops later. without pain as feedback, yautja would be extremely prone to unnoticed injuries. cuts, fractures, internal damage, infections, or torn muscles could go ignored until they cause visible dysfunction. he may continue fighting with broken bones or deep wounds simply because nothing tells him to stop. healing could be slower or more complicated because injuries are often discovered late. scars would accumulate easily, explaining why his body is heavily marked despite his discipline. temperature would also be dangerous. he might not notice burns, frost damage, or heat exhaustion until the damage is severe. this could make environments like fire, extreme cold, or prolonged exertion ally risky. cip often shapes personality through necessity. yautja would rely on discipline, logic, and observation rather than instinctive reactions. instead of flinching from pain, he would learn to watch for visual signs of injury: blood loss, impaired movement, changes in breathing, or loss of strength. this reinforces his calculating, ritualistic mindset and explains his cold detachment. because he does not feel pain, he may underestimate threats, assuming he is unharmed when he is tually compromised. cip does not make him invincible. pain exists to protect the body, and without it, long-term damage is common. joints may wear down faster, injuries may worsen, and infections may spread unnoticed. his reliance on vision over other senses becomes critical, because visual confirmation replaces pain as his primary warning system. overall, cip fits yautja as a hunter who fights for honor rather than survival. he does not fear pain because he has never known it. (this was all taken from a conversation I had with pinecone, discussing on how it would affect him and what it was.)
I will be doing a much more heavier research on it due to the fact it affects him heavily as a character. <3 (past, ect.)
