Hello fellow artists of Scratch! So as I said, again, I'm going to restate that I do NOT actually want violence over this, I do NOT anyone being harassed over this, and I am NOT trying to offend anybody. With that said, as I said again, I do not normally do serious projects... but this one, Is a very serious one. As you know, this is the topic of AI "art" And how it's not just detrimental to the art community, but also for humanity in general. And before you say "You're just being sensitive" Or "TIN FOIL HAT" please hear me out. So, AI in the art community. Do you know why AI "art" is so bad? Because it's theft. Literally that is how the AI is able to make art. By stealing it from other people. Basically what it does, is it scrapes the internet for art and uses that to train itself. It is wasting someone's hard-earned talent and skill. As well as this major issue, AI "Art" has no soul, it was made by a machine, from somebody who didn't care. And art is soul, art is something that someone lovingly made and spent time on to express themselves. And many AI advocates say things like, "Using AI for art is better because you have time for other things. Um... like what? Working? Doing chores? Things you don't want to be doing? I don't exactly know where this quote came from but it goes something like this, "Why is it so backwards? Shouldn't it have been using AI to do work so Humans can be creative. Why are we using AI to do the creative things while humans work?" The overuse of AI makes life feel... hollow. very hollow. Because there is AI for everything that's actually important in life, like talking to family (the AI responses in texts), and art, and music, and animations, and stories, and actually doing things for yourself. And there are also more reasons why AI is dangerous, (I can't get into all of it on scratch but I'll tell you what I can) With all of this AI, there are horrible programs where people can take a picture of someone... run it through the program and do horrible things with it. usually for revenge and blackmail, so people think that the person in the picture did something awful. And as well as the AI "art" large businesses already don't wanna pay anybody, so they will use AI for whatever they can, and people can't get jobs. And look, just like every other teenager, I don't wanna get a job! But they are necessary to make money, and it's horrible that people are losing their jobs to AI. On an ending note, I hope this was coherent and informative. And with that said, anyone who claims to be an artist when they use AI is not an artist. That would be like me going to a restaurant, ordering something, and saying you're a chef. Anyways, I love you all.
