I discovered through Wikipedia that the Japanese Thomas and friends YouTube channel made a miniseries in celebration of the reboot a while back that adapted 3 classic series episodes, but the "engines" are office workers, the adaptations are as follows: down the mine, trouble in the shed, Thomas and the rumors. I'm not spiling any of them, but they do have the original Japanese dubs of the episodes for context. (yes I watched the miniseries, it was surprisingly good)
