MY SHORT STORY: Among Us inspired AMONG US: This was inspired by one of my playthroughs on the popular game Among Us- most of what occurred here is exaggerated, violent, and for a mature audience! Tell me what you think- after all, this is the first time ive written something like this in a LONG time. Rose: Trixxie Tan: Siri (Me) Coral: Mitts Maroon: Doll "Know what- let's try voting Doll," Trixxie stated “What?! Why me?! I did medbay!” Doll exclaimed sharply and testily, eyeing Trixxie with suspicion. “Well, is there anyone who can prove you actually did medbay?” “Ooooooh…fair point,” I commented amusedly, getting a glare from Doll. “It's not me! I’m not the killer!” “Well, there’s no one here to vouch for you- sorry, Doll.” Doll stamped her foot in frustration. “It's NOT ME! I SWEAR-” “...Voting Begins Now,” the speaker overhead announced. “C’mon, guys, please! Believe me! I didn’t do it- I swear! I’m not the killer!” But no one listened. “Sorry, Doll,” Trixxie said apologetically- Doll had decided to skip, but me, Trixxie, and Mitts each had selectively chosen Doll. A large mechanical arm from the ceiling extended and reached down, and then proceeded to shove Doll into the ejection chamber. "NOOOOO- NOOO ITS NOT ME! IT'S NOT ME-!" Trixxie and Mitss stood in front of me with their arms crossed, watching as Doll screamed in anger while pounding on the thick glass doors… And then- swiftly, the doors opened, and she was ejected in mid scream- freezing instantly and drifting away out into the starry, endless void. “Doll Was Not the Impostor,” the speakers announced overhead. Mitts stared at the board in shock. “Then who else could it be! If it's not me- and it's not you Trixxie…” And then the silence kicked it as both of them turned around to face me. Trixxie's eyes went wide as she started to process something that had eluded her before- a small, and minor, but critical detail she had failed to notice… Despite all the times I'd been with her, laughed with her, defended and stood up for her as she’d done for me...she'd never seen me do… One. Single. Task. "Hold up," She said, sounding rather surprised as she fully turned and faced me. Mitts’s eyes went wide as she looked at Trixxie and back over at me just as Trixxie finally asked, "Siri...is it you?"
I merely smiled- a nice, long, and wide smile that involuntarily spread across my face- despite the lack of words, that smile had said everything they needed to know and confirmed their worst fears.Single And Trixxie’s jaw dropped in astonishment and surprise- I’d been the imposter all along. It seemed Mitts had just realized this as well, because she then screeched in horror- "OH MY GOD! IT'S HIM! SIRI IS THE REAL IMPOSTOR!" And to top it off, naturally, just then and there, all the doors in the cafeteria slammed shut and locked tight…the lights went out, replaced with flashing red ones as the reactor was sabotaged, causing alarms to blare over head...seeing how the red light was cast across my face, it did not ease Mitts’s panic one bit as she backed up in a fright, and immediatly ran over to the doors- banging against them desperately as though hoping they'd open up. "Yes- it was me all along," I stated gleefully, walking over calmly as Mitts banged a fist on them frantically, “C’MON OPEN UP! PLEASE YOU STUPID DOORS!” Mitts knew I wouldn’t kill Trixxie- it’d been well known to everyone in the lobby that me and Trixxie were good friends on good terms- and how we had been constantly glazing each other…and Mitts knew who I’d pick to kill between the two of them. Meanwhile, Trixxie stood there, more stunned than anything, unsure of how to respond to such a revelation. "Such a shame- I really enjoyed this game," I commented, still smiling gleefully- clearly enjoying myself and the chaos that was going on. "TRIXXIE- HIT THE BUTTON AGAIN! CALL A MEETING" Mitts screeched over the blaring alarms as I walked over to her, still grinning in that eerie, horrible manner…it was the smile of a predator who’d known they’d won.. "I can't- it doesn't work anymore," Trixxie stated quietly, merely watching- after all, what else could she do? "Welp, it was fun while it lasted. I enjoyed playing the impostor for this round." I started as I roughly grabbed Mitts and put her into a headlock. She let out a strangled yelp and naturally fought back- but try as she might, as she struggled, gasped, and kicked against me to no avail, she grew weaker. “...T-Trixxie- h-help me- please- hel-” And I then silenced her by snapping her neck. Instantly, I was rewarded with a loud, resounding crack that echoed through the room. She gurgled for a few moments, digging her nails into my arms, squeezing tightly, but her struggles ceased, and she went limp after a few more seconds, eyes dulling under the red, flashing lights. And I let go, letting her drop dead to the floor with an audible thump. “...it was you,” Trixxie commented, sounding surprised. I flashed her a smile, “Good game, wouldn’t you say?” She nodded her head subtly as the speakers announced “IMPOSTERS WIN”
