I’ve worked on every single block and asset to make this as fast as possible. Core Specs: Storage Optimized: I reduced the project size from 47.7MB to 20MB (Over 50% smaller!). Runtime Efficiency: Best performance is on TurboWarp (Runs at ~1100MB RAM). Note: On standard Scratch/Chrome, it may use up to 1300MB because of how the browser handles assets, but it is still 100% stable. The Search Trio: Basic Search: For instant 1-to-1 matching. V-Pro Engine: Uses indexing to check if your command "contains" a list item. 5-Step Algorithm: My own character-splitting logic that ranks the "Mostly Match" result. This is for when you know exactly what you’re looking for. Exact Match: Unlike the 5-step version that ranks results, the Basic Search is all about precision. It scans the list to see if an item is exactly equal to your command. High Speed: Because it’s looking for a 1-to-1 match, it is incredibly fast. If you type the name of a VIP or a specific command perfectly, it finds it instantly. Low Impact: This engine is one of the reasons the RAM stays so low (down to 600MB!). It doesn't need to split characters or rank results; it just checks "Is A = B?" and gives you the answer. - 2)The Search Engine V-Pro I built the V-Pro version for people who want speed but also need the search to be flexible. It’s a "Pro" engine because it uses a technique called Simple Indexing. How it works: Instead of checking if the command is equal to a list item, V-Pro checks if the command contains any part of the list item. Smart Indexing: It uses a simplified index of the 3000+ items in the database. This allows it to "scan" through the data very quickly to see if your word is hiding anywhere inside a list item. Why use it?: If you type just a part of a word (like vol), V-Pro will find volume instantly. It’s much faster than the 5-step algorithm because it doesn't have to split characters or rank results, but it’s better than Basic Search because it doesn't need an exact match. Optimization: Even with indexing 3000+ items, I kept the code clean so it doesn't spike the RAM. - 3)How the Word Search Algorithm Works I’ve had a lot of people ask how the "brain" of Brainy Block works. It’s not just a simple search; it actually goes through 5 different tests every time you type a command to make sure it gives you the right answer. The 5-Step Logic: Splitting: First, the engine takes your command and splits it up into individual characters. Word Building: Then, it takes those characters and rebuilds them into words so the system can understand them. Database Scan: It takes the 3 most important words and scans the entire database of 3000+ items, pointing at every single one to check for a match. Ranking: It doesn't just stop at the first match. It checks for the highest match result to see which item in the list is the most similar to what you typed. Final Result: Finally, it picks the winner (the "Mostly Match" result) and shows it to you. I worked really hard to make this "smartness" fit into a small project.
