Merry Christmas! Let us use this time to not forget and celebrate the reason for the season: Jesus! I wanted to thank Jesus even in the description of this project. He was sent by God to die for our sins which is such an easy sentence to say but there's so much behind that, that is so hard for human minds to grasp just how amazing that is. God could've chosen to just give us the punishment we deserve for our sins, that being eternal death, but by sending His son Jesus, that problem is solved! All we have to do is put our faith and trust in Him and accept the eternal divine gift He has given us. Recently I've been conflicted on whether or not I should feel depressed or just not care about the fact that let's be real, the older we get "Christmas isn't Christmas-ing" anymore. And that's just because we get so wrapped up (lol) in responsibilities like school, that we aren't able to enjoy what makes Christmas Christmas. But then I remember that this is an inevitable part of life, yknow getting older, and that the true point of Christmas isn't the festivities like the gifts, the movies, the decorations, but it's Jesus. This is a time not to lament over our childhood times, but to still feel the joy and happiness of Christmas and celebrate Jesus' birth. We often forget that in many places of the world, people didn't get a Chrismtas like we do now or in our childhoods, but yet those unfortunate people can still feel the joy and hope of Christmas. That's because we can already be complete and joyful with having Jesus. We don't actually need everything else, all the other stuff is just for the flesh. So with that in mind, I find myself still feeling the happiness of the holiday, just in a different manner: Focusing more on what Jesus did for me and letting this be a time of thanks and celebration to Him. And with that, when you don't think about it too hard and just let yourself live through the holiday, you soon realize that you DO feel that Christmas spirit, especially in community. I saw it today at my church. Congregation members that barely know each other sharing a laugh and greeting Merry Christmas, having a good time.. Things like that, yknow? My bad that this description got so long, but to that TINY audience who actually reads this (only God knows who actually reads these lol), may God bless you and Merry Christmas!
