i learned alot so i hope you read through the whole thing Merry Christmas yall (whoever is listening lol i have a few followers who actually look at what i RARELY post XD) so i learned something really crazy from one of my christmas gifts i got two art books called Sketching From the Imagination: Storytelling and Characters by 3dtotalPublishing and i learned that my style is holding me back ive been so focused on making art pieces that follow a strict guide of "it has to look like this" or "it has to be THIS good" mainly coming from my desire to be like inspirations (Carles Dalmau / Himignicest) But these books, all these different artist giving their thoughts... Nothing has to be a masterpiece. All of these artists in one form or another dont do art for fame or for glory or for money but rather as an expression of creativity and emotions. Of ideas that just don't or can't exist in the world. To express a picture that'll make someone smile, or laugh, or look deep into themselves about the meaning. Art is more than a grab for money or fame. Not just art as in pencils and sketchbooks. But in singing, dancing, animating, writing, photography, working, building, and creating. So many people in the world do things to be recognized. To gather a following, like some cult around their creations. Ive seen this alot in my life, what people around me do, and in what I do. but its sad. it sucks. it effects people around you, maybe without meaning to. Does this mean to just give up your passions and your abilities and God-given talents? OF COURSE NOT!!! God gave you your talents, so you should use them and not let them die. But use your talents in a way to glorifies God and shines light on other people's lives. And it doesn't matter if any human recognizes the work you do... cause there's an all-powerful God who loves you and will recognize the heart you put behind your projects. God sent His Son Jesus into the world to die for our sins, to save us from ourselves and our own greed, BECAUSE. HE. LOVES. US. Now some people think "if God loves me then why is my life terrible?" or "why is everything going wrong?" Ive asked myself that alot. And a simple is... Its for your own good. God's teaching us lessons. Not in a punishing way as in you stole a cookie from the cookie jar and are spanked to learn not to steal... but rather helping us grow, and learn that life is not always easy. Life is not always fair. Life is difficult. Life does suck sometimes. But God say "cast all your anxieties on me, because I care for you." If we confess with our mouths and believe in our hearts that God sent His Son Jesus to die for our sins and was raised up from the dead... WE. WILL. BE. SAVED. ISN'T THAT AMAZING??? LIKE HOLY MOLY An omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent God loves us SO MUCH that He ASKS us to casts our anxieties to Him. To just believe this truth and we'll get to spend forever in Heaven with Him and the rest of our brothers and sisters in Christ. That's the reason for Christmas. That's the truth people try so hard to hide behind lights, presents, trees, and lies. And one thing I've learned in my life is this: It takes a whole lot more faith NOT to believe in Jesus than it does to believe in Him. Merry Christmas! -sqwuiddo
