I just wanted to talk about the true meaning of Christmas a bit :3 We all get hyped about the gifts, and the songs and the movies (and trust me, so do i) but i feel like the true meaning of Christmas was lost in the endless consumerism. Behind all the "BUY THIS" and "BUY THAT". Behind all the stress of jUST FINDING THAT /ONE/ GIFT FOR THE TEENAGER WHO ONLY LIKES VIDEO GAMES AND HOODIES!!! But the true meaning of Christmas is in the name. It's celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Yes, I am going to get very religious on this topic, and if you don't want to read it, go ahead and click off, but it'd mean a ton if you stayed and listened to my testimony. Jesus is the TRUE meaning of Christmas. Yes, spending time with your family is probably what most people will say it is (and it's definitely the 2nd most important) but is the birth of Christ not what this holiday was made for? We give gifts to symbolize the wise men, we put the star atop the tree to symbolize the star that led Mary and Joseph to the stable. There it is. The answer you've all been looking for! It's Christ!
