A: Yes there's been 2 and it was really hard killing off those characters :( Q 24: Favorite time to write? A: Past midnight usually ;) Q 25: Are we really halfway done? A: Yes unless there's more than 50 questions Q 26: What's your book about? A: It's about these animals I made up called amouties and one of them, Bailey, has hyper intelligence that made the government want her for cruel tests but she got away (that was what the first one was about) and the 2nd one is about her daughter, Echo, who has the same intelligence as her mum and gets captured. It's only a matter of time before Griffin (the villain scientist) completes his horrible experiment with her... one that could change the world in terrible ways. But Bailey has embarked on a journey to save her daughter against all the odds. Q 27: Why do you like writing? A: It's one of the only things I'm good at and it's an escape from the troubles of life, and it helps me process things. I need to write to live. Q 28: How long do you think you write during most days? A: Too long... we're talking up to 5 or 6 hours! Q 29: What is the first sentence from your WIP? A: "I never imagined my story would ever matter to anybody." (the first page is a forward given by the main character) Q 30: What is the most recent sentence from your WIP? A: Lemme check... it's "And when that moment comes, darling, you won't hate me... you'll thank me." (ewie of course it had to be dialogue from the villain being his nasty self) Q 31: How many questions do we have left? A: Don't feel like counting lol maybe 19 Q 32: How do you think of names for your characters? A: Sometimes just randomly or sometimes I get them from movies or people I know in real life (I named some of the villains after my brothers hehe) Q 33: Give me a favorite quote from your protagonist! A: "Be wild. Be brave. Be your name." (That comes from a character named Echo) Q 34: Now give me a chilling line from your antagonist! (if your story has a bad guy) A: From old Dr. Griffin himself we have: "I don't hurt you because I hate you. I hurt you because I care. Can't you see that?" Q 35: Is your book dark at all? A: Definitely VERY dark. But I like to think of it as a journey through the dark... not into it. Continued below
Q 36: Will you miss writing this WIP? A: Yesss *cries* I missed the first one so much that I decided to write the sequel I'm writing now! Then after this one, a third book just wouldn't work so one of the side characters is going to get his own spin off series. Q 37: Do you feel like there's anything controversial about your book? A: Maybe... I pushed some boundaries with medical horror and absurd cruel mind games. Q 38: Do you think you'll ever publish this book one day? A: YES TOTALLY we're looking into getting one published as of very soon I'm soooo excited! Q 39: What is one thing you really enjoy crafting in your stories? A: I really have a knack for crafting good villains. I like to make them fascinating but also hate-able. Sometimes I feel like I have too many creepy villains lol! Q 40: How old were you when you first got started in writing? A: Around 9 or 10 but didn't finish a book until I was 12. Q 41: What's a writing tip you live by? A: Have patience and believe in yourself when writing a story - most people say they're going to write a book sometime in their life but never do. Saying you've written a book is special! Q 42: Have you ever gotten writer's block? A: I did once. I had zero motivation or ideas for a while and didn't write for months. But I realized that the book would never see its resolve if I didn't care about it, and since then I've written about 200 pages in it! Q 43: Do you prefer writing stand-alone novels or a series? A: Both! Q 44: What was a particular challenge you faced with your current book? A: Writing in a mature tone came difficult to me since I'm used to writing MG. But I feel like I pulled it off pretty good even with one of the more heavy and controversial scenes. Also the psychological mind games were hard write because obviously I'm not a master manipulator lol Q 45: Are you proud of your writing work? A: Very. Most of my life went into making these stories that I care about with my whole heart. Q 46: Has anyone else read your stories yet? A: My sister has read most of my books! I'm kind of nervous about having my parents read this book though because they're going to see a bit of my dark side... Q 47: Do you plan a whole lot before writing? A: I mostly just come up with the story as I write. Some planning was necessary though. Q 48: Do you enjoy developing the protagonists or antagonists more? A: If we're really being honest, probably the antagonists. Giving them layered backstories is really crucial to why they're villains. Q 49: How many chapters does your book have so far? A: 29! Q 50: Did you enjoy answering these questions? A: Yes! Remix this and tell me your answers!
