Eyo Guys Sorry it's been a while since my last update on this, but I wanted to share some of the stuff I did, since actually it's been a full year since I've started working on this engine, since the previous one I did was completely broken. I nearly gave up on the project, but I decided to start from Scratch(literally) again, and after a full year, I can definitely say that I've gotten a surprising amount of stuff done I managed to finally figure out the main problems of the depth sorting system, even if it needs a bit more optimization. As you can see too I pretty much revamped the whole level builder and the editing system in general, and even added some new things to it. Because eventually once I'm done with this I wanna share it out so people can do whatever with it. I still got some things to change with it, but I'm happy with how much I got with it. Tbh I feel like most of this year was mostly focused on the editing, which I'm sorta fine with, since later on making levels will be a lot easier. Speaking of- I've also made some test levels and experimenting with some things, and even if I restricted it to only 7 tiles in width, I can still do a lot with it, so I might actually start cooking up levels for the game, or at least early versions of them. I still do wish I could've released at least a single level out this year, but I'm hopeful that I can at least get one out next year. Anyways- I hope you guys had a good holiday, I got two Yo-Yos that I wanna try and mess with, and I'm also gettin a new plushie too(soon) so I'm pretty happy with what I got, even if I didn't ask for much this year, which I'm fine with.
