Hello MTG Players! Today I'm Going to be talking about whether Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger is a mass land denial spell. Wizards defines a Mass Land Denial Spell (abbreviated as MLD) as "MLDs regularly destroy, exile, and bounce other lands, keep lands tapped, or change what mana is produced by four or more lands per player without replacing them.". Vorinclex Says "Whenever an opponent taps a land for mana, that land doesn't untap during its controller's next untap step.". Does that keep lands tapped? Yes, but only for a turn. Recently they removed him from the game changers list because they shifting their focus away from raw power and towards game length so brackets are now defined by how much time you are expected to have before people start losing. He costs 8 mana and if you tap for mana when he is still on the stack you can remove him without your lands getting tapped down so on his own he isn't really bad enough MLD To make your deck bracket 4. but if you put him in a ramp deck where you can cast 8 mana spells on turns 5 or 6 (like with animar as your commander), he should count as MLD. If you can get 8 mana on turn 5 or earlier your deck's got to be really strong anyways. There are a lot better spells for ramp if you want him to double your land's mana production, such as Nyxbloom Ancient And Food Chain. they are also more money expensive so if that's your problem, you are gonna need to do some rule 0 discussion about it (you most likely will need to do some anyways). That's all! If you want more Love this and comment "More MTG projects"
