hey, this topic is slightly more serious and regards rumors and whispers going on about not only my promotion on the hive, but the other new manager's promotion as well. I'll only be addressing mine primarily and touching on the others because while I'd like to stand up for the other two, I am unsure if they would appreciate that and I don't want to assume. as many know, I was promoted to manager on December 22, 2025. However, I was on leave through spring of this year to this past fall. that has taken a toll on my presence on the hive, but I assure you, I've been a member for a while. As stated back in my application, I joined the hive about 2 (ish) years ago. It was on a separate account that if you so desire, I will be more than happy to share it. Something personal happened in my life a while after that, so then I took my leave for about 4 months or so. I was in the lore of 'Brook Mines' when the Minecraft movie came out, and I was there beforehand. I have had plenty of happy memories on the hive and the hive can be a fun place when other issues aren't coming forth. Now. When I returned, I moved over to this account. I discovered something in myself that made me realize I didn't want to be a girl anymore, so then I transitioned to become a guy. That means I changed my name, my whole image and presence online, and of course, my pronouns. To a passerby who knew me on my old account or by my old name, I'd be a complete stranger. Which is most likely why I am not recognized, and that is alright! I don't mind it as long as people can respect that even though I'm not recognizable anymore, if you truly get to know me before judging my attendance on the hive and who I am, then you can see that I deserve respect the same as you all do. (p.s. I hop on the hive intermittently throughout the day, I just don't comment a lot. Also, some of you who don't see me might just be in a different time zone, and that's chill! Just please don't assume.) I live by the policy where I will *always* be polite. Even if my tone is interpreted as condescending or angry, I promise it never is unless I specifically state that it is. I am not surprised that people have their qualms about me becoming a manager, but the point of this message is to try and answer any questions anyone might have (within reason) and to try and correct any mistakes that are truly harmful or upsetting to any hiveans. And on the topic of the other managers promoted-- I trust them wholeheartedly. Managers try their best to remain unbiased on their choices on everything relating to the hive. Even if they don't necessarily agree with someone, they will not go to lengths to rule 6 them unless they have been outright disrespectful and inappropriate. update 1/2/26 -- I would like to add I live somewhere where people are very uneducated on the happenings of the world, including me.
