Hello everyone! I am proud to bump up the next chapter of Willow Walkers and its release; officially coming out on New Year’s Eve! (Dec 31st). I have been fairly hesitant on posting the next upcoming ‘ramp-up’ chapters of Arc 3; where the finale starts to build, and bigger issues make an appearance in the story. Each arc has introduced a large problem at the end of their runs, and Arc 3 is no different. Arc 1; introduced Auburn’s isolation from the rest of the group, and established Finder and Freeze as lead villains/antagonists. Arc 2; Introduced the large secret between Auburn and Freeze as half-brothers, and set Auburn up as someone that doesn’t handle grief easily. Arc 3; Will introduce Blossom’s traumas and fears of her own, and will shut down; and it will show Auburn’s fragility and lack of trust- his selflessness in full swing. That is the simplest I can explain arc 3’s conflict without giving too much away, so I’ll make the rest of this easy, and to the point. Blossom will be a huge focus for the wedding, and the wedding’s aftermath. As more chapters come out, I humbly ask that you understand that although Blossom is a fictional character, she is based heavily on my past experiences with family and anxiety, and for that reason: when she collapses, don’t make it a witch hunt for answers, or blame the character for her actions. She will make mistakes that a lot of people won’t like. Some could accuse me of this ‘coming completely out of left field,’ but her traumas and lack of communication are key factors to what builds up to the upcoming events in the story. Please, for the sake of my sanity, do not yell. Do not act like she’s in the wrong. No situation is in black and white. I have been incredibly stressed about these chapter’s releases because my community (and scratch as a whole) has a tendency to jump on characters that they originally ‘liked,’ only to feel betrayed by their actions and deem them as a villain or antagonist. Blossom is not a villain. But she is not a hero. No character in Willow Walkers are completely evil or cruel; and no one is truly good or perfect. These characters have levels of depth; as you’ll see soon with Blossom. I love Blossom, Auburn, Freeze, etc. I have built them up to be characters who have lived, rather than being cookie cutter copies. So if Blossom, Auburn, or Freeze does something completely new or surprising, know that their actions will always come from a valid cause. I always try to add logic to their actions. And Blossom is no different. So please, don’t yell at me when all is said and done. The chapter delay was caused by my anxiety to give these following scenes to the people, because I’m terrified that it will escalate into a fight between my community. And I don’t want that. So to conclude, I want everyone to be normal, and okay with what happens in the comic. You can react and comment about it, but I do not want people to get angry at the characters or yell at me and what happens in the comic. These characters are made to act and talk like humans; and I don’t want anyone to think that it’s okay to be mad at them for doing actions that while may leave a negative impact, it’s in their own self-imposed judgment. Anything Blossom does, or will do, is said or done because she believes it’s the right thing to do. Thank you for your time; I’ll see you on Wednesday.
