Press 1 for Finger Missiles 2 for Neo Barrier 3 for Shock Absorber 4 for Plasma Grenade ___________________________________________________ Pieces of metal were being welded as Serizawa and Saegusa walked in. Electrical circuits were all over the place. "This project is wasting millions for something we're not sure is even gonna work!" yelled someone nearby. They quickened their pace. Tensions were high. "The exoskeleton is a somewhat copy of the outside of Gojira, but made in metal. The cockpit is located in the neck. The inside has many different hidden weapons, including, if it all goes to plan, the Oxygen Destroyer prototype. We're calling it the Erupter. The MechaGojira will be fitted to have a fake Gojira skin over it, so we look like the real thing. We will attract Gojira, and then activate the Erupter. If all goes to plan, we should be rid of this menace in only a few months." A newspaper lay nearby. Serizawa picked it up and showed it to Saegusa. "Godzilla Attacks Los Angeles" was the headlines. "This is why we're doing this. These kaiju are trying to wipe us out. We are the apex predators. WE need to be on top. Not these alien demons. That's why I've been here for about 8 months. As co-president of the K.E.I.A., I'm seeing over all the productions here at Monarch." said Serizawa seriously. Saegusa nodded, and tried to say something else, but the noise drowned her out. The sparks flew in the workshop as many people constructed the metal titan. ONE MONTH LATER Rumbling echoed through the white valley. Ice coated the rocks, and the clouds were light and gray. What really stood out though, was the large mech moving through the roll-up door on the side of the giant black building with the sign "Monarch" on it. "All of the movements are working fine." Saegusa reported back to the main control from the cockpit. After a few laps around the building, the unnatural kaiju was ready to try out the weapons. "Fire the finger missiles at will." One large finger shot off the hands, spiraled toward a large boulder nearby, and a large explosion ensued. The rock was blown to bits, shards raining down on the metallic kaiju, denting it. Missiles reloaded in the blink of an eye. "Take 'Neo Barrier' stance at will." The head of the MechaGojira began to spin, and a light beam shot out from the eyes. The combination led to a dark red shield around the mech. Someone very close threw a can at the shield. The shield deflected the object with a boom, shooting into the sky. "Fire Shock Absorbers at will." MechaGojira shot two giant grappling hooks, brimming with electricity. Another rock nearby was hit, and a bright dazzle of electricity flowed through it. The hooks then retracted. After a few more weapons, including grenades and more missiles, everyone prepared for the "finale", as the weapons team had called it. "Fire Plasma Grenade at will." The prehensile tail of the mech whipped around, and shot a small, black, swirling ball of mass another small boulder nearby. "Good thing for all these boulders." one of the crewmen said. Instantly, a massive black explosion covered the air. The shockwave knocked some people down. A strange dark substance dripped on the people outside, who began to scream. "Don't worry, the dronomium is non-toxic. Your skin might be tinted gray for a few days, but that's it." "The MechaGojira test is succcesful."
While the MechaGojira may have been impressive, it was not the main focus of all of the scientists that were trapped- "volunteering" there. Their task was to figure out how to work the Erupter attract Gojira, and what reaction it would need for it to work. "Micro-Oxygen dissolves in an hour or less, and is most efficient within the first minute, so we will need to do the nuclear reaction while the kaijus are coming. Who knows, the blast and shockwave might hurt or blind them, too." said Nakamura, who was in charge of the Erupter, while going over a first draft of the plan. Plutonium was selected as the best contester. Many studies were taken, but only one was eventful. March 1st. A study of Micro-Oxygen on ice. Everything was going fine. Until it wasn't. "What the-" said Nakamura, who was viewing from a small porthole into the completely closed room. An alarm started to blare. The case in the room started to glow. "Oh. Oh no. The... reaction must have backfired. It could explode at any second. I gotta call Serizawa." said Nakamura, starting to panic. He shut down the power and got under the table. The room and everyone in it was plunged into darkness. Screams erupted from the panicked group. A small explosion from the testing room caused the glass to shatter, adding to the chaos. People began fleeing from the observation room, running to asylum. The '3421 Disaster', as it was called, rendered a small section of the building inhospitable for a few months. The biggest shock was with Nakamura. A FEW DAYS LATER. AN HOUR SOUTH OF HINODE, JAPAN. Nakamura had come back to Japan. He wasn't feeling well, and had rashes across his entire body. He also had a fever, and a headache. But mostly it was an aching side. He wouldn't ever go back to Russia again. Someone walked up to Serizawa a week or so after Nakamura had left. Serizawa tried to remember his name. It was Ogata or something like that. He grumbled. Too many people here. He needed Nakamura back. "Mr. Serizawa, it's a message from Nakamura. He says... he says he has been diagnosed with radiation poisoning." "What!? From what!? We can't, we just can't, lose our best scientist! No. No. We were so close to figuring out this. This could set us back months! What if he doesn't even have months!?" Serizawa started to panic. "Well, he also sent the final calculations." said Ogata, and handed out a piece of paper. Serizawa grabbed it as fast as he could, and read it. "This is... genius! We gotta ask Nakamura to send more papers! This is incredible, even for him." said Serizawa, excited. "That's the thing. Serizawa," Ogata said, sighing, "Nakamura died this morning. He had internal bleeding. "Oh." A MONTH LATER "This entire operation wouldn't have happened if not for the kaijus," began Serizawa. " and all of you. And Nakamura, a brilliant scientist who died a month ago due to radiation poisoning. Let us hope that he will be the last victim to ever face the Earth. Kaijus are unnatural, and will do much more than kill one person. They will personally wipe out cities with no remorse. We need to show them where their place is. They get to kill millions of humans, we get to kill one. Doesn't seem very fair, but once we get more Mecha kaijus, we will show them in their place. Now, let's go kill Gojira! For the victims!" The entire crew of the Monarch Building had gathered out in the snow to listen to Serizawa's speech, and they cheered and shouted. The hunt had begun. _____________________________________________ Me for the first song, called "Mechanics". It was originally gonna be the Godzilla theme, but I felt that wasn't right Yeah, I know the Mechagodzilla kinda looks weird, but it's fuctionality over design. The hardest part was figuring out how the head would connect to the body
