ALPHA TRION'S DATATRAX "CYBERTRONIAN MANIFEST" ENTRY #BONUS-6: NAME: Springer IDENTITY: Male FUNCTION: Autobot Wrecker Chief of Police HOME PLANET: Cybertron CURRENT RESIDENCE: Earth Springer was a bright-eyed young 'bot when the Wreckers first laid their eyes on him. Founded by Prowl and led by Magnum as Ultra Magnus, the group initially began as a guerilla police force meant to relentlessly punish those that opposed Autobot ideals, and Prowl, having raised the young 'bot to be an idyllic yet rule-abiding ninja, brought him along as a rookie. However, when the war began, the Wreckers' focus switched. They became an Autobot "suicide squad", going into missions with a low likelihood of success and breaking as many faces as they could, no matter who they lose in the process. Springer was unsure of this new direction, but his skills in combat proved to make him one of the group's strongest members, and his confidence in his abilities made him a formidable foe. One day, Ultra Magnus (at that point Delta Magnus) would leave his position as leader of the Wreckers, and a 'bot named Impactor would take his place. Impactor was cruel, violent, and, unlike Springer, didn't follow the rules. This conflicted Springer: he wanted to follow the orders of the Wreckers' leader, but knew that what Impactor wanted was wrong. What he later found out, though, is that he wasn't the first Springer. His memories were someone else's: a Wrecker hero that fell in battle on a mission where Impactor had done wrong. The "new" Springer was a secret Autobot superweapon named Ostaros designed by Prowl to be immortal and to always follow orders. When the Wreckers eventually come to Earth, these secrets come to life when he meets a young Terran by the name of Nightshade.
