The shiny forms of the pokemon in Yaelokre just make them more accurate to the animal they're based on rather than the character. (ex. Vigoret/Passionhare would normally hold appearances similar to Cole's costume, Vigoret holding Cole's old costume design and Passionhare holding Cole's redesign, the shiny makes them look like a hare, etc.) Notes about the Guardians of Eld Cole and Passionhare: These two are very emotional, yet shy. They lose the shyness when performing, maintaining story and belief with their song and dance. Clemmie and Intrepidgoat: These two are loyal to their lovers, warbling melodies to empower their lovers' storytelling, strengthening belief. Kingsley and Kamahuyan: Often seen riding on the back of the King of the Wild, Kingsley uses their voice to command those that their wolf cannot. Peregrine and Tormoose: Ensuring that entropy meets its goal without casualties, these two honor the cycles, yet, refuse to perpetuate harm. Cooper and Starladin: Loyal to their packs above all else, these guardians brave even the darkest of days with shields in hand and armor blazing. A sun in a darkened sky. Playwright and Owlscribe: With shimmering spectacles and glowing eyes, these two produce the tales told across the Pokemon world. A silent guardian to a quiet night. Notes about Eld in this AU: People on Eld prefer not to consider gender in their lives, having it on their birth certificate and health information to understand preferable/safe doses of medication, anatomy, etc. Because it causes a lot of discourse in the realms of "gay" and "preach to the lords" nonsense, they just... drop the pronouns and all go by they/it. Eld consists mostly of beautiful golden fields, deep, magical forests, and cold lakes and beaches, with the few cities not as technologically advanced as, say, Lumiose City. They have the basics, yes, but most refuse to use Pokeballs, opting to rather build a friendship with that pokemon they want, enough to be able to have it like a pet. They treat pokemon rather respectfully here, only using battles to settle disagreements and not for entertainment. So the pokemon in Eld are more like the animals on the Galapagos. Since their only natural predators are each other, they aren't scared of humans on Eld. Festivals in Eld are held on specific days: Mourning The Era of Consequence is held for a week in October, in honor of the humans and pokemon that lost their wonder in this devastating event. Includes keeping lanterns on past bedtime to help guide lost souls trying to find their wonder to pass on into the afterlife, leaving out food for wild pokemon and lost pokemon spirits, and leaving out flowers to maintain the beauty and wonder in the spirits' souls. The Festival of Creation is held on the day flowers begin to bloom once more, where people bring flower starts, food, masks, and art to honor the creation of Eld as a safe haven for Wonderment. Eld was basically formed by legendary dragons to hold all Wonder during the Era of Consequence, after the original harkers tried to warn a stubborn king of the collapse of his kingdom Rayquaza formed the land from meteors and draconic rage. Giritina ensured that Wonder would stay. And Eternatus helped them form the Mother Tree, the enforcer of Eld, punisher of Wonder-eaters, and keeper of magic. The Mother Tree birthed The Cradles, who each birth a Harker. The First Cradle birthed The Storyteller, catalog of the truth, keeper of the past. The Second Cradle birthed The Bellringer, watcher of what will be, marionette of the strings of the future. The Third birthed The Enkindled, watcher of the wilds, keeper of equilibrium. The Fourth birthed The Croon, entropy, chaos, and keeper of all that will end. The "harkers" before the Era of Consequence aren't the ones that are known now as The Harkers. They're just a trainer, a mage, a pokemon, and a healer (like Nurse Joy) that tried to warn the king of the collapse of his kingdom, which consequently broke the world into the regions of the pokemon world. They later are reborn as the Harkers that wander Eld now, after being buried at the roots of The Mother Tree before the existence of The Cradles.
