(Sonic Underground rewrite + Transmasculine Sonic) Sonata was never meant to exist again after the beloved hero now known as Sonic the Hedgehog had shed the previous identity, but after some contraction Dr. Robotnik had built to split the universe, in an effort to take control of the one he'd be split into, has he split the hedgehog right before him into two separate Mobians, one the world knew outwardly, the other a fragment of a failed kingdom and a destroyed family. The kingdom had fallen after the divorce of Queen Aleena and the fallen king none would ever name again, had he commit the worst crimes never to be named, and after the Queen could no longer live with herself, look at her three children, Sonia, Manic and Sonata, the same ever again. She had taken herself away before anyone else could. Then the empire fell into the Robotnik's hands, the 2nd one before the one we all love and hate the same, and the one after the one known to be the creator of the Ultimate Lifeform. The children were sold off as they were wiping the history of Aleena's reign. It was when Sonata escaped had they become Sonic, erasing the princess for good in hopes of becoming someone stronger and better, but there was always a voice within his head that sounded faintly of screams that grew more and more of rage. But the contraction had brought upon a light that was shadowed for too long to ignore now, that Sonata wasn't just a fragment of imagination, they were real and finally Sonic had realized that, and he couldn't live with himself if he had forced himself to reform with him, couldn't go on with the torturing screams he heard, then ignored when he tried so desperately to erase him, so he let them go into being their own being, no longer his own.
