So uh yeah, I got a LYRE of all gifts for my birthday, so I'm learning to play the lyre. I quit piano long ago because I fail to meet expectations and it was terrible for my mental health BUT I don't have a teacher and there are plenty of beginner lyrist tutorials on YT so I can learn and play at my own pace. Plus if playing the lyre doesn't take off, it's not like I'll have disappointed anybody. It was a bit of a joke gift- my grandma (a VERY talented pianist) put nothing on her list for Christmas so my Grandpa bought her a lyre because what else was he supposed to get her? (also 3 RADIOS but that's another story) And I was playing with her lyre for a while so she bought me one, too. Anywho I REALLY love playing "His Theme" from Undertale by Toby Fox. It's the best song I can play on it and it sounds so cute. I'll be learning to play other songs soon, tho.
For those who don't know, a lyre is a handheld harp. The picture is a poorly finger-drawn image of a lyre.
