Quidditch It was Saturday evening. Milli and Ella were just leaving for dinner. When they arrived in the Great Hall, they sat down at the Gryffindor table and ate. Afterward, they went to the Gryffindor tower and sat by the fireplace. It was late that evening, around 9:00 PM. They changed their clothes and went to bed. The next morning, Milli woke up late. She looked at her watch and saw that it was already 10:00 AM. "Oh no," she thought. "At 9:00 AM, breakfast was cleared away, and the house-elves in the kitchens had two hours off until lunchtime." Milli jumped up. "Why hadn't anyone weighed me?" she wondered. She changed her clothes and ran to the common room. Ella was already waiting for her. Grinning, Ella held out a plate with two slices of bread. "Here. I brought this for you. I tried to wake you before breakfast, but you were still so sound asleep that I couldn't. Oh, right. The teachers handed out the new timetables at breakfast. I brought you one," said Ella. "Thanks," said Milli. Then they went outside. They wanted to go down to Hagrid's hut to ask if they could have another "Care of Magical Creatures" book. They'd all been sold out in Diagon Alley. When they returned a short while later with two new books, they went into the common room. Milli sat down and read a little bit of the book she had borrowed from Ella the day before. The next day, they had flying lessons with Madam Hooch in the first period. They took their brooms and sat down on them as Madam Hooch had demonstrated. They were all supposed to stay on the ground, but Milli's broom simply flew off. "Yippee!" shouted Milli. "Come down immediately!" Madam Hooch shouted. Milli came down and class continued. After a while, it got boring. Suddenly, Ava took off. She got caught on one of the figures on the wall and couldn't get down. Milli pushed off and flew to Ava. Milli freed her cloak and helped Ava fly down. As they descended, Ava's wand fell out of her pocket. Milli let go and raced after the wand. Then she caught it and brought it to Ava. "Weasley! Come with me." Madam Hooch led Milli to the office of Professor McGonagall, the headmistress, and went inside with Milli. "Professor McGonagall, I have a new Seeker for the new Gryffindor Quidditch team," said Madam Hooch. "Ah. You're George Weasley's daughter, aren't you? The first training session is this afternoon. Please be at the Quidditch pitch promptly at 3:00 PM. I'll let Holger Diggle, the captain, know right away," said Professor McGonagall. Milli was overjoyed. It had always been her greatest dream to play Seeker on a Quidditch team.
