★2025 went by so fast. It's almost crazy to think that, looking back through my sketchbook and remembering all the art I made throughout the year. I created so many characters, got involved in so many more fandoms, and developed an artstyle I actually find fun to draw. Tap the arrows to see my 2026 sketchbook cover and my old 2025 one. Here's my art summary :D January This piece was for a Khelkah art competition hosted by @Ytankai-Okhahu, which I entered in and placed with an honourable mention. I was extremely proud of it at the time, and looking back at it I can see why. February I drew this right after making a new character, Xandria. She was heavily inspired by Varesa from Genshin Impact, and I designed her after a friend sent me images of Varesa. This was one of my first ever lineless pieces. March This was a DTAE for which I have not yet received results. I redesigned the character a fair amount and I was pretty happy with this. April This was almost my masterpiece of the year. I drew @SuperPhoenix808’s character (Finn), earlier in January as fanart. I then redrew it later, in April, ending up with the piece you see here. This was a big jump for me in terms of art style, and you can see it slowly forming across these 12 pieces. May After reading a few tutorials and looking at other peoples’ art, I learned how to draw shadows better than I had been able to before. This piece really shows that, and I was very happy with the way it turned out. June This piece was an entry for @Azurelite’s DMC, which I entered twice. The first time was a low-quality bust drawn last year when I had just started to draw humans again. This piece was the second entry. This was one of my favourite scenes/backgrounds I’ve ever drawn. July I didn’t draw many high-quality pieces in July. This was part of payments for @Ytankai-Okhahu (Khelkah). I don’t really know why this is my favourite piece of the month other than the sky. August This piece was mainly drawn as background practice and as a way to follow along with a tutorial. I ended up really liking it, so I turned it into an actual drawing. This is where my style really began to take shape. September This was an entry for ’s DTIYS, which happened to feature a character I designed. I had a lot of fun with this piece, especially because I could focus on the background and shading rather than the pose or character. October Again, I didn’t draw much during this month. I attempted to take part in Khelkahtober and wound up finishing 15 or so drawings. This was the one I liked the most out of all of them. I really started experimenting with colours and filters around this time. November I actually drew this for a school art project, surprisingly. We were creating video game concept art. My concept was a 2d platformer about dragons. This drawing was of one of the main areas: large, empty plains with ash and overgrown ruins. I really like this and the project was my favourite of the year. December I drew this around 11 days ago, just for fun. By this point my style had finally solidified. While I was drawing this, I experimented a little bit with blur, filters, and chromatic aberration. Overall, I think it turned out much better than I had been expecting. If you have read this far, thank you. I really appreciate that you took the time to read about my art’s progression over the year.
