He finally got a decent hairstyle, and he could have unlocked his abilities earlier if he didn't get that restricting bowl cut. READ AHEAD IF YOU DON'T MIND Opinion only: Stranger Things was had a really good plot with awesome characters, but the ending was pretty dang tragic. If anyone deserves a happy ending, it should be El, since she's been through a lot, but instead of living with Mike, she dies. However, Mike created a theory- in order for them to live peacefully, El fakes her death to fool everyone, including her friends so that the government wouldn't suspect the gang from hiding her. I prefer to believe Mike's theory because if she truly died, I'd be pretty pissed off.
