press the green flag to count your view Chapter 5: Zora princess unforgotten an hour before link met Sidon ???: stepping into lanayru was a blessing the rain felt so good on my skin part of me even wants to not save the Zora so the rain keeps pouring down but I know that if I don't Hyrule will be flooded so I shook the rain from my blonde hair and set of toward inogo Bridge to Sidon because apparently he was searching for someone like me * * * once I had reached Inogo bridge I looked at the left tower and waved at the tall red Zora Prince and in response he summersulted off the tower and landed in front of me "are you a Hylian? surely you are right?" Sidon asked "yes I am a Hylian my name is Alex" I answered "Then you have come to save us? surely not" he added "yes I am here to save the Zora from the endless amount of rain that Vah Ruta has been spraying everywhere" I confirmed "Wonderful! here take this a little trinket to help you travel the path to the domain" Sidon said and he held out a bottle of Electro elixir "it effects may not work on Zora but it should help you walk the path to the domain" he said "thanks but I won't need it who says I can't swim?" I asked him "the waters to the domain are too strong for a Hylian to swim and with all the drops it makes it impossible for anyone except a Zora to swim you can't possibly be thinking about trying to swim it!" Sidon explained "I am. just give me a second to prepare" I said walking behind one of the towers then I opened my rucksack and pulled out my old Zora armor I had found deep in a underground cave and thanks to a handy spell Phantom had taught me I could swap the Zora armor for the green tunic I wore in seconds and it only cost an opal a very common mineral found around Hyrule and then the magic spell took care of the rest leaving my tunic on the ground while in its place was the Zora tunic Which should let me breath under water if I had the nerves to test it but I don't so I only use the mask to keep as much water as possible out of my face then I walked out from behind the tower "all right Sidon I'm ready" I said adjusting one of my gauntlets "what where-? Sidon asked confused about what I was wearing "it's a suit of ancient Zora armor that I found" I explained but Sidon just stood there with a mix of surprise and confusion on his face "are you going to keep standing there or are you coming?" I asked him "uh yes! follow me!" Sidon returned back to his usual upbeat attitude then he summersulted into the river I however didn't. I climbed to the biggest rock next to the river and stood at the edge facing away from those raging waters. I stood there for a second with my eyes closed feeling the rain hit my face after so long of pain, struggle and loss it felt nice to finally have a moment to feel the rain "for you Apollo" I whispered to the air and I leaned back pulling up my mask and at the last moment I jumped off and the second I hit the water I felt the flippers at the end of my feet extend allowing me to take of down the river rivaling Sidon's speed * * * "LINK!!" Phantom yelled from a ladder "what?" I asked innocently "quit taking the Hyrule bass and get over here!" Phantom yelled "but I'm hungry" I responded "you're always hungry, and we need to see King Dorephan" he said pointing to the ladder "can it wait?" I said holding a Voltfin trout I just caught "no put the fish down" Phantom ordered "fine, but I'm keeping the fish" I said matter of factly Phantom sighed "whatever just get up the ladder" he said * * * minutes later we were climbing the steps to go see King Dorephan and the reason we didn't get here sooner was because Phantom had dragged me by my hood away from the shops not letting me buy more fish then while we were climbing the stairs I smacked into someone "oh sorry sir" phantom said for me and I looked at him and he did look sort of familiar but I couldn't but my finger on it "Well? What is the matter?" he asked "HUH?! A hylian! And not just any Hylian! Isn't that you Link?!" they asked in surprise "yeah" I said "How dare you show your face here! After what you did to Lady Mipha!!" he fumed "wait-!" I tried to say "What did you say?! I, Trello, shall punish you on behalf of our beloved Lady Mipha!" he fumed "help me" I asked Phantom but he had disappeared then Trello cleared his throat "That's what i'd like to do anyhow. But I'm afraid those of us in the Zora council have our hands full trying to figure out what to do next about Ruta" Trello said "Ruta?" I asked "You! You were alive 100 years ago, so you should know all about Ruta! Surely you cannot have forgotten... Lady Mipha, our Zora Champion... in order to help defeat Calamity Ganon, she piloted the Divine Beast Vah Ruta. But I do not understand... Why is the Divine Beast sending down a plague of rain to us and making the domain suffer?! I think that the rain is the tears of Lady Mipha, who was defeated without fulfilling her duty!" Trello finished
"And I think you're crazy" Phantom added under his breath then moments later we were at the top in the throne room then I approached a pedestal of sorts so I could talk to the king while Phantom kneeled and hid his face in the background "Ah. You must be the Hylian that Sidon brought here, correct? You did well to come all the way here! I am King Dorephan ruler of the Zora. Hm? That object upon your waist... is that not a Sheikah slate?! HMMM?! Now that I have gotten a good look at you, it is all too clear who you are... You are the Hylian Champion Link! Do not tell me you have forgotten me..." the King said "The Hylian Champion? You can't mean THE Link? THAT Champion?! So that's where I have heard your name before! what a fateful coincidence that we should cross paths!" Sidon said "I cannot believe it. The Hylian Champion, Link, has appeared before us... We have met numerous times, I'll have you know. Ah... So many memories! My mind is overflowing with nostalgia, my friend. I had heard a Terrible rumor that you had fallen in combat, but it appears you managed to survive. Extraordinary!" but I tried tell them the truth in fact the weight of what they expected me to be was too much I stayed silent "your majesty if I may" Phantom said moving to kneel by my side "The Swordsman Link has Lost his memory" he said still kneeling "Come again? You say that you have lost your memory?" the King asked so I nodded "But surely you must remember my precious daughter Mipha yes? you do, do you not?" he asked "Mipha... who?" I forced out "I cannot believe it... Have you truly forgotten my dear Mipha as well? You and Mipha were so close... Yet you do not remember her? Young hero... Please look upon the beauty of Zora's Domain. Do you not see that statue? Does gazing upon Mipha's immortalized form still not jog your memory? Well perhaps your memory will return in time. I dearly hope so" "Father... I do not believe discussing my sister is helping matters at the moment. Link seems confused" Sidon shared "Oh? Yes of course. But first. it is worth noting how remarkable it is that Sidon brought a Champion here without realizing it! That is quite a feat my boy! Wah ha ha! That is a good one!" king Dorephan said returning back to seriousness "Link, I doubt not that you have endured a great many trials. still, I must ask you to hear my plea. Now then. Hero... I must inform you that Zora's Domain is in danger of vanishing because of Divine Beast Ruta. I shall do you the courtesy of speaking bluntly. we alone cannot stop this beast. Will you lend us your strength?" the King asked "what!?" an old green zora shout from the left " King Dorephan, My Liege! Please do not speak so! To ask a Hylian for help... Why, the very thought of it curls my fins!" the old green Zora pleaded "Muzu, I expected more of you. How can you still protest?" the King asked "Muzu! it is rude to speak that way to your king and his guests, Link and the other one are here because I invited them!" Sidon said "With such unprecedented rainfall, we have no choice but to rely on the aid of trustworthy Hylians. Have we not already discussed this and arrived at this very conclusion? They are the key to saving Zora's Domain. I have no doubt in my mind" Sidon explained "Indeed! Link is a Champion through and through! As things now stand, Zora's Domain... Nay! Perhaps all of Hyrule... It is doomed to be swallowed by sea. This is bigger than all of us, my friend. Zora and Hylians alike must put aside our differences and band Together" Dorephan explained "Have you forgotten already, My King?! We cannot trust these Lowly Hylians!! a Hundred years ago they abused the power of an ancient civilization and turned Hyrule into what it is today!! And that is not the least of it! It is their fault Lady Mipha was lost to us..." Muzu finished "... Link... Divine Beast Vah Ruta has great power. it has the unique ability to create an endless supply of water. Of late it has been mercilessly spouting water into the air. as a result, this area has been plagued by heavy rains. For us Zora water and air are as one so you would think this would be quite so critical of a problem. Sadly, the rains have filled the eastern reservoir nearly to the point of flooding. if the reservoir bursts, as it soon will, I fear immense damage will befall not only Zora's Domain... but also the area downstream from us . There, Hylian lives are in very grave danger." the King started but then he was interrupted by a great big trumpeting sound "Hmm... The Divine Beast is crying out again..." King Dorephan stated * * * half a mile away in the east reservoir Divine Beast Vah Ruta rose from those deep waters sensing the Sheikah Slate trumpeting out a it's own Plea for help....
