This is mainly an admin project for me as I am using this system in some worldbuilding. ~ Credits ~ Kokiri Forest is from The Legend of Zelda This system is (though inspired by another system) entirely created and refined by myself and fully belongs to me. ~ About the System ~ This is an original number-writing system I developed. It was inspired by the Cistercian numeral system that turns each number 1-10 into a symbol and places it in four corners of a line each having a x10 multiplier than the last. That system is denary (or base-10) meaning it uses the same principles from the system we use in Maths, however, my system takes inspiration from binary numbers. Each shape has a value increasing with a x2 multiplier (1, 2, 4, 8, 16 etc) and they are stacked and added together to show the number (e.g. 7 would be the 4, 2 and 1 symbols stacked together). I also added a negative notation (a hollow line) that increases this system's range to 131,071 numbers in one character. (The Cistercian numeral system's range was only 9999) ~ How it Works ~ Starting top-right: |‾‾ is 1 |⌝ is 2 (ignore the gap) |– is 4 (slightly above the centre) |⌟ is 8 (again, slightly above centre) This system is the reflected in the x-axis for 16, 32, 64 and 128. The 1-8 symbols are reflected in the y-axis for 256, 512, 1024 and 2048. Then, those are reflected in the x-axis for 4096, 8192, 16384 and 32768.
