The Writing Academy | Official Update & New Structure A Message from the Director: I originally started this Academy while I had art block and more free time. Since then, my schedule has returned to normal for 2026, and I have had to make some changes to protect my time: Sports & Travel: I have year-round sports practice two nights a week plus weekend games. Even though practice is only 1 hour, the 1-hour round-trip drive means I lose 2 full hours every time I go. Art: My art block is over! I want to spend my creative energy on my illustrations again. School: My after-school workload has increased, and I need to focus on my studies. Because I can no longer be the only teacher, I am moving to a "Director" role. This ensures the Academy survives through teamwork rather than me managing it alone. The New Class System Dedicated Teachers: Each class will now have its own Lead Teacher so the workload is shared. Skill-Based Levels: Students are grouped by skill level so everyone in a class is at the same stage. Sustainable Pacing: Teachers are only required to post one high-quality lesson per month. If a lesson is posted in July, the next isn't due until August. Current Status: None any new students that come will open up new teaching spots and new teachers will open up new student spots Level 7 Roster Director: @1VioletOctopus Lead Teacher Student: @sugarglid3rr026 Student: @ChezborgorREAL Teacher Applications Open for all levels until there are students that need teachers. Commitment: One writing lesson project per month. To Apply: Go here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1224415821 Note: We only open new teacher spots for other levels once at least one student signs up for that level first. Student Enrollment Level 7 has 13 seats remaining (15 students max per teacher). Other levels are currently on a waitlist. Thank you for understanding that I need to balance my real-life commitments with my time on Scratch in 2026.
