[bio, lore, and whatnot] Katherine Isabella Maguire aka Kathy aka Kat aka Kiss aka something along the lines of Xx_KissTick_xX on myspace is a 16 year old girl trying to navigate the minefield that is being both alternative and a lesbian in Lousy Small Town, America in the year 2007. She goes to Prescott High which she affectionately calls "one of the worst places on Earth" and works at a music store at the local mall with her friend Jonas. Her main passion is music, she plays both drums and guitar (she plays a red epiphone sg with a black pick guard!), though mostly drums. Her music taste sets her rightfully in the "gothic" category with Siouxsie and the Banshees, Strawberry Switchblade, and Bauhaus being her top three, with The Cure following closely behind. She doesn't quite look the part in terms of colour but she doesn't mind, pink and magenta have always been some of her favourite colours. Given her passion for music and obsession with Siouxsie Sioux, she wants to start a goth band one day, even if she's about 25 years late to the Batcave. Her hobbies include: playing instruments, collecting cds and vinyls (and the occasional cassette tape), scrapbooking, thrifting and DIYing clothes, and drawing. She's very outgoing and extroverted but naturally has a somewhat low self-esteem due to bullying. She tries hard not to pay attention to it but when you stick out like a sore thumb in every room you enter, it's hard not to feel alienated. Not to mention she feels like everyone's eyes are on her at all times, which isn't ideal unless she's playing drums on stage. And that's where Jonas Aguinaldo comes in, your stereotypical scrawny emo boy and the only other "freak" at Prescott. She noticed him on the first day of school in math class back in eight grade, followed him to his locker ("Hey, are you stalking me?"), and then they quickly became friends after the awkwardness wore off ("No, not at all—sorry. I'm Katherine, you can just call me Kiss! I saw you in math and well, you're the only non-normie around sooo... Wanna be friends?" "Uhm, sure! My name is Jonas!" "Like... the Weezer song?" "Exactly like the Weezer song.") Hijinks quickly ensue and they've been best friends ever since. --------- [other random disorganised thoughts] Live laugh love my hopeless lesbian daughter <3 she was super fun to draw, I love her hair. She's also so real, I too have a random musician in my cranium instead of a brain. She's very silly because on one hand she's super extroverted but the millisecond you place her in a room with someone she vaguely dislikes she's like the quietest person ever, she will literally go through anything to avoid interacting with the campus mean girl. Honestly, when I saw her design my brain just immediately said "Strawberry Switchblade fan" but when I listened to Spellbound I was like "this is so her" so she's a fan of both now. Bauhaus is just there for the vibes and also I love Bauhaus hashtag projecting Anyways goodnight folks I'm literally writing this at 10 pm send help
