PART 1, POWER & AUTHORITY Ketate is a close-knit city, under the guise of the Council. The council consists of mostly six people. The roles are: -Councillor of the Tech -Councillor of Battle -Councillor of Trade -Councillor of Health -Councillor of the City -Councillor of the Academy Each one of these people are tasked with a specific thing and making sure they don't fail. For example, the Councillor of Battle devises plans on protecting the city from other cities and countries that pose a threat to them, with the help of tech developed by inventors, under the Councillor of Tech. If anyone part of the armies are injuried or worse, d3ad, they can head over to the Councillor of Health to get patched up like brand new. All of them co-exist as one, and are the pinnacale of teamwork for youngins. There is no /true/ leader of Ketate, as all of the Councillors lead the city in their roles, but the leader complex would usually fall down towards the Councillor of the City. To obtain these positions, one needs a degree in that specifc category. For example, graduating in Ketate's esteemed Academy as valedictorian and having high grades and understanding the state of the city can perhaps obtain the role of Councillor of the City. Graduating highest from the self-defense class and understanding how to lead in dire times and knowing how to plan things could end you up as the Councillor of Battle. You can probably see how the students can fit in. The Councillor of the Academy does well, setting the children who attend on their ways. Now, if anyone decides to challenge one of the Councillors, they would of course, go through a grueling process and where they would have to prove why and how the current Councillor should step down, and who would take place. Most of the time, the ones who oppose the Councillors go missing and are never seen again, which also result in the riots and protests that are scattered through-out the records or history. PART 2, MAGIC AND SUPERNATURAL In Ketate, magic is teased and spoken through-out myths and folklore. As you would get older, you would learn that, of course, they aren't real. Sure, there's old ruins of "The Palace of the Gifted Ones," but the records have no answer to when or why it was built. Like someone didn't want this to be known. But, the records do state about the divine intervention, promises of eternal life. If one deems to pursure this mystery, they would dig through decades of old tomes and scrolls, dating back to the start of Ketate, when it was just a little village. It is said, that when one is truly in the depths of despair, a wish, a shooting, marvelous star shall shine upon one who needs hope, and will rise to understand the truth. In the earliest dates of Ketate, there was a lady. Her name was Iris, or that's her name translated through the old, rubbed away text. Iris, was deemed to have powers of a goddess. Healing that would cure impossible illnesses, the beauty of an angel, and everyone who spoke of her thought she was just wonderful. She could grant your dreams and wishes, and calmed anyone who saw her. Most claimed that she was an immortal beauty. She, was a "gifted one." Yet overtime, this "Iris" got tired for the constant demand for healing and the mortals demanding for wishes and riches. So, her close friend, (whose name is rubbed out from the text and cannot be translated), devised a plan to trick the mortals. With time and dedication, the friend created the "Potion of Powers," and by its name, it could give one unimaginable powers, like Iris's. Yet it curses that one person with immortality, to have the mortals know what she went through. The pain and suffering of her loved ones gone. One should only use these powers in dire times, as Iris once did for those who could no longer provide for themselves. Her motto: "Rain does not fall on one roof only," meaning they were in it together, not having to face their problems alone. She relies on the concept of teamwork and working to the same goal. That, is why so many love her. She's the perfect friend, to most. There is someone in the current time of Ketate, who seems so keen on retrieving the recipe or at least the fundamentals, the concept of immortality from the potion. They seem to find the answer in the stars, and get their information from the divine, or better yet, the Gifted Ones. Shooting stars are their only known way of communicating.
part three and four are inside to conserve space for pt 1 & 2 out here <3 !! ~~ (continued part 2) This, scholar, hopes of finding a way to achieve immortality in means of scrounging each and every tome the records have to offer. Which means, they are the more-so tech and alchemy part of Ketate. Using tech they built themselves, learning how to stabilize the usually violent and unknowable ingredient: the Nyroot. Which gives the one who consumes the potion, immortality. They have not been successful in completing the pursuit achieving immortality... Yet. But if one were to obtain the powers the potion had to offer, they would be banished to exile. Or worst, execution. Many citizens are protesting about how they want to spread the truth about Ketate, and what they are hiding. That the records' information are incorrect and never were. Why would they silence such a large part of Ketate's history and not the riots? You'll learn, sooner or later. You wonder, are they telling the truth? ~~ +3000 pts 2,267 words pt one is 345 words pt 2 is 597 words pt 3 is 606 words pt 4 is 725 words there are def plotholes and things that dont make sense or contradict each other </3 my bad spelling might kick in, tired during those parts :[ ~~ #mysteryFTW
