BL00D WARNING, MENTIONS OF DE@TH "And he's coming for us next." The words echoed in my mind like a hurricane; every positive feeling... destroyed. How powerful could Garnet be if he literally sucked the energy out of an already de@d wolf!? Shadow looked into my eyes, his own clouding with bitter sorrow. "Let's go, Silver," he whispered. "No..." I tried to pull away. "NO! GARNET!!!" I ripped out of Shadow's grip and thrust the amethyst into the air. A bright flame burst from it and engulfed me until I disappeared. "Silver!!!" Shadow shouted. "Come back!!!" <><><><><><><><><><><><><> I teleported into the Realm of Stars. Instead of landing on soft, starry grass, I fell into a lake of bl00d. My boots splashed through pools of scarlet liquid as I waded through, scanning the area for Garnet. Bones lay scattered around the bl00d, and flames fed on the trees that hadn't turned to ashes. I shuddered, leaping onto a boulder to better get a look around. There he was. He charged through the fire and wolf skelet@ns, knocking them over as if they were trash. "Silver!" he snarled, a pack of his dogs scrambling after him. I clutched the amethyst in my sweaty hand. I could feel its power coursing through my veins, restoring my energy. Garnet lunged. For a moment, everything was still. Garnet slowly soared through the tox!c air, his eyes gleaming with hatred and pure fury. I breathed. In... and out... When I reopened my eyes, Garnet was inches from my face, holding out his hand. "I'm ready," I whisper. "Silver!" Time snaps back. Shadow grabs me, pulling me away from Garnet a split second before he can drive his crystal into me. "Shadow!?" I gasp and pant for breath. "H-how did you get in here?" Shadow held up his own amethyst, smiling softly. Time seemed to slow again. Just... Shadow and me... On the brink of a bl00dy battle field. "I love you, Silver," Shadow rested his forehead on mine. I leaned on him, wrapping my arms around his body. "I love you, too," I whispered. Our amethysts glow brighter and brighter until the darkness is cast aside, and we are enveloped in a warm light. Garnet skids across the ground, bl00d smearing on his clothes. The dogs turn tail, yipping and yowling, each one running in a different direction. Shadow and I let go of each other, looking down at our gems. I chuckle lightly, twirling the amethyst and glancing up at Shadow. "Ready?" I ask. "We were born for this," Shadow nods.
