1. The Goal The goal of Solitaire is to take a shuffled deck of cards and rearrange them into four distinct, sorted piles (called "foundations") based on their suit (Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs, Spades). Each pile must start with an Ace and go up in order to the King. 2. The Setup (The Layout) Tableau (The 7 Columns): Seven piles are laid out from left to right. The first pile has 1 card, the second has 2, up to 7 cards in the last pile. Only the top card of each pile is face-up. Stockpile (The Draw Pile): The remaining cards (24 cards) are placed face-down to be used when you cannot make any moves. Foundation Piles: Four empty spots at the top where you will build your piles from Ace to King. 3. How to Play (The Rules) Moving Cards: You can move face-up cards to build sequences on the seven piles, but they must be in descending order (King down to 2) and alternate colors (red, black, red, black). Revealing Cards: When you move a face-up card, you can turn over the face-down card underneath it. Moving to Foundations: If you uncover an Ace, you can move it to the top foundation spot. You can then add cards of the same suit in ascending order (Ace, 2, 3... King). Using the Stockpile: If you run out of moves on the table, draw cards from the stock pile to find needed cards. Empty Columns: If a column becomes empty, only a King (or a sequence starting with a King) can be moved into that spot. 4. Key Terminology Tableau: The 7 columns where you play. Foundation: The 4 piles you are trying to fill to win. Stock: The deck you draw from. Waste/Talon: The pile where cards from the stock go if they cannot be played. Once you put all 52 cards to foundation plie, You win the game You are officialy a (UNC) if you win.
