Word Wars ⸙・༄ JWC 2026 __ __ __ Hi there! Welcome to Word Wars for this session of JWC! ⸙・༄ General Information Word wars are a writing race between 2 campers to see who can write more words in the agreed about of time. How it works is that you find a partner, agree on a time, set a timer and write as quickly as possible in that amount of time. JWC runs on an honor system, so you do not need to provide proof for the words but please be truthful about the number of words you wrote. __ __ __ FAQ ⸙・༄ How long should a war should be? A word war is best when it ranges between 3-8 minutes, but it is up to you and your partner, as long as you agree. ⸙・༄ How do I choose a partner? Try and find someone in the comment section with a similar WPM (word per minute) as you. The only rule is that you may NOT war someone in the same cabin as you. ⸙・༄ How do I ask for a war? Do ask for a war, state the cabin your in, the time preferred and your WPM. An example is "Word war anyone? I'm in funhouse and I have a 45 wpm. Preferably 3-4 minutes?" ⸙・༄ How do I find out what my WPM is? If you don't remember your wpm, you can retake the typing test here: https://www.typingtest.com ⸙・༄ What can I write during a word war? You are only allowed to write things that will count towards your word goal, this includes stories, journal entries, poetry, etc. It cannot be something like one word over and over again. The writing can be simple, but must make sense. ⸙・༄ How do I win a war? You win a war if you write more words then your partner. If you win, you get 200 points and you can claim them in the main cabin but posting the link to your word war comments. You can only claim points for winning a word war once, this cap resets every midnight UTC time. __ __ __ And that's it! Have fun writing word wars and remember that this is all just friendly competition.
