DISCLAIMER: The vast majority of the story, code, art, sounds, and ideas are not mine! They are @VintageSledGuy 's, who made the original project. (Now moved to @OldSnowmobileFellow) Q: What has changed? A: I have added a number of visual changes along with a few tweaks of code to elevate this project into a more fun and immersive game, including: - Improved camera shake while fighting, dodging, shooting, enemy deaths, etc. - Various visual glitch fixes, like exit doors disappearing. - Small improvements to sound (any extra assets are sourced from Pixabay) - Independent player head movement - Smoother scrolling camera - Better support for widescreen (Turbowarp!) including expanding some of the main menu backgrounds and tweaking the cutscenes - Tweaks to enemy bullets timing out - Small improvements to bullet collision (not very noticeable) - A few small level tweaks where it was possible to get stuck or fall off the map - A slightly cooler intro (that only plays when you first load the project) - Thumbnails for Turbowarp and Scratch - Better indicator for skipping cutscenes (you don't want to skip them, they are really good) There might be a few other small changes, but that is probably most of them. Other Notes: All extra art was made by taking apart the existing art and using existing assets, and any expansions for the main menu were hand-drawn in the bitmap editor. All extra sounds (cursor/camerashake) are from Pixabay, as stated above. My logo in the intro contains AI-generated elements, but nothing else in the project is AI-generated, drew all of it (and did a really good job)! Final Remarks: When I first played this game, it was amazing - the story, the art, the gameplay - everything was very well done. Afterwards, I decided to try and make this already amazing game even better with a few improvements. After a lot of tedious work, testing, and reverse engineering, I finally have the (maybe) finished product. I would appreciate feedback and suggestions, because I want to do more someday with this amazing series! Again, all thanks and credit to , go check out the og!
