https://turbowarp.org/1261570482 Press "P" to view settings This is much faster than my other renderers because it computed all of the angles each light ray would take beforehand, stored them in a list and then uses that list to apply a distortion on the objects.
This was made by taking all code other than for the black hole out of my project here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1116871901/ If you want to fly around and orbit this black hole in a spacecraft, check out that project. This is not incredibly precise, however it should be reasonably accurate up until about 100Rs. This project does not account for: the aberration of light, the doppler effect, the fact that light can orbit the black hole more than once. To see what each of these effects means, watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4rTv9wvvat8 UPDATE LOG: Jan 04/26 - Release as separate project Jan 30/26 - Added Color Scheme selector in settings, tweaked some sliders defaults. #Black Hole #General Relativity #3D
