so... i return with an alnst redraw... the very foundation this account is built on. it's been a while heh. guess who forgot to flip the canvas until halfway through the rendering. yeah, that's right, it was me. pretty cool i know. i had to do SO MUCH liquify on this if i remember correctly i saw someone on tt redraw this scene and the spirit of my history (august) ignited in me so i locked in. the crazy part is that this only took me 2 hours and 45 minutes and the first luka i did took 6 AND A HALF HOURS. if that isnt a mark of my improvement idk what is. although granted that one was way more polished, but i think it's because i had a problem of over rendering. even in the drawings im proud of from recently like the one i posted of my oc being uh violent i felt like the final render had way less life than the og sketch :( soooo i'm trying to break out of that and draw in a more painterly way wish me luck guys. i think i kinda succeeded w that in this one butttttt the sketch still has that special something idk AND hair doesnt intimidate me as much anymore!!! yes it still is visually the worst part of the drawing, butttt i dont dread drawing it anymore. its kinda fun even tho it looks buns. also i really really like drawing all the little flyaway hairs theres something so satisfying to it also look at me two posts in one day i was really locked in today i finished 2 whole drawings and none of my hw i prolly wont be able to post much more in the near future because i have to study and do a deep clean of my room tomorrow and im GETTING BRACES ON TUESDAY AUGH and going back to school weds so... this brief burst of posts will prolly be short lived...
