Hiya! This is old (made when I first made this account actually) His lore has come a looong way since then. So without further ado! The World: Quackin exists in a world full of pirates and several islands. Here, sea monsters dominate the sea! Pirates and monsters (known as Titans) battle for control. But among them there is one that is more powerful than any other. It's name, Oculi Daemonis, Eyes of the Demon. For you see, the only pirates who survived it find that's dark form is so towering, and it's surrounded by so much fog, when you look to see it, all you can see are it's bright pulsing eyes. The creature was so powerful and sunk enough cities that the deities of the sea locked it away. Should anyone kill it, they will be rewarded greatly by the deities. The Main Protagonist: Crispin is a young 20 year old guy who honestly, unless you saw him with the rest of his pirate crew you'd never guess he was a pirate since he's so jumpy and scrawny. His father is a ruthless pirate captain who dedicates his life to slaying monsters. He is well known as the pirate king across the sea. Crispin meanwhile...well he's a pirate by the lowest standards at least. When his father decided to go after the Eyes of the Demon and set off leaving Crispin behind since Crispin was a huge coward. When his father goes missing, he gathered the courage to set sail and find him.......only to get caught in a storm and end up shipwrecked in not even a day. When he woke he found himself on a tiny island which honestly was just a patch of sand with a cave. The cave had ancient carvings and a warning. Which Crispin couldn't read since it was an ancient language. And so he awoke the beast inside the cave. From out the cave came...! Quackin. He was spat out of the cave, tumbling face first into the sand. Quackin and Quackin's backstory (Warning, long): Quackin, though he keeps it a tight secret, is actually the Eyes of the Demon. You see he is a powerful Titan. And not just that, he's an immortal sea deity. At first he was very serious, no nonsense. He even often appeared as a sort of aquatic griffen rather than goofy duck. (deities can manipulate their shape) However one day he saved a little boy, who then pestered him everyday for a year. Little by little, he grew a bit softer. Back then, monsters attacked, but not randomly. Under his command, they only made attacks on the worst of the worst pirates, and giving warnings to all others not to be cruel. When Quackin, whose name was given by the boy, softened towards the kid, he rest of the monster actually co existed with the humans as guardians rather than monsters. However, one day the child was kidnapped by a ruthless pirate. Quackin of course fought to save the kid, but the child was unalived by the pirate in the battle. Quackin lost it. He flew into a complete rage that lasted months, becoming the Eyes of the Demon, he sunk city after city believing humans to be disgusting, ruthless, and corrupt. The monsters followed his lead and thus the human-monster war began. The deities finally stopped him, sealing him away in a cave so that no one may find him. And if anyone does? They will give the powers of a deity to the one who manages to end him. While sealed, Quackin calmed. As hundreds of years passed, he realized what he had done, how the boy would have reacted to his rampage. He felt completely ashamed. He hoped that no one would find him, and if someone does, then he hoped that he could avenge himself. From there, he decided to take the form of the duck-beast and instead live as the child would have wanted him to. Story: The main story between Crispin and Quackin is simply Crispin trying to find his father, not realizing he's travelling with an ancient deity and not some silly monster who is obsessed with grilled cheese sandwiches for some reason. Quackin is very loose and fun loving now, hardly taking anything seriously and making jokes even while they are about to die (Well his is immortal so more like Crispin is about to die) Quackin is a complete pacifist, and will never hurt anyone. Crispin often gets mad because when ever Crispin get's in a battle and needs help, Quackin is always the one to run. Though really Quackin fears he'll loose control and is still horrified by what he had done and actually gets panic attacks when forced to fight. As Crispin begins to understand that Quackin had a horrific background (not that he realizes Quackin is Eyes of the Demons, as far as he knows Quackin used to be a horrific monster who killed several people) it becomes a bonding point for the two. As Crispin little by little digs deeper into who and what the Eye of the Demon is, Quackin tries desperately to cover up his past. When he fails, Crispin is horrified by Quackin and pushes Quackin away after chewing him out. Quackin and Crispin go their sperate ways.
