I wanted to take a moment to explain why I’ve been so inactive lately. I know I haven’t been posting, commenting, or working on projects the way I usually do, and I didn’t want to leave you all confused or wondering what happened. Over the past few weeks, my family has been going through something really difficult. My dad was diagnosed with stage four salivary gland adenoid cystic carcinoma. A rare type of cancer. Most of my energy has been focused on supporting him and helping my family however I can. The good news is that he recently had surgery, and he’s now recovering. It’s going to take time, and we’re still processing a lot, but we’re staying hopeful and taking things day by day. Even though it’s been tough, we’re grateful for every bit of progress he makes. Because of all this, I haven’t had the time or the headspace to be active on Scratch. I’m not quitting or disappearing — I just need some space to deal with everything happening offline. I hope you can understand why I’ve been away and why I might still be a little quiet for a while. Thank you so much to everyone who’s stuck around. Your support, even just by being here, means a lot. Scratch has always been a fun and creative place for me, and I’m looking forward to coming back when things settle down a bit. Take care of yourselves, and I’ll be back when I can. — love, chayee
