Jan 6 shared Prologue(aka 1st): https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1253430754 Next: Last: Chapter 1 Quick note before we start, I think I will fail on this point of view, it's the hardest for me... Mira. How does she think?! I don't really know, but it's fan fiction, so it's okay to not be 100% like original, right? I'll try my best, though. ______________________________________________________ Mira's Pov Rumi has been distant these few days, and she seemed distracted. I wanted to ask, but she keeps denying. It's as if she's hiding something from us- again. I don't want to think like that, but I can't keep myself from worrying. I sometimes just catch her staring out the windows or balcony, sometimes just looking at her arms, clean of patterns that had haunted her whole life. I know that she was a hybrid, or anything you may call it. I hated demons. But being with her, spending time together... It really makes me start to doubt if demons can be like her. But it doesn't make sense, again. Then, Jinu had sacrificed himself for helping us, and protecting Rumi. We all start to doubt if the teachings we had, from a young age, were lies. Maybe there can be demons that are worth forgiving. Worth the name of good. But I just can't figure it out, again, every time. My biggest question is: Why? Demon continue to work for Gwi-Ma. Even Rumi had a chance of becoming one of his servants. She had no choice of being a demon or not. She was born as a seed of an evil breed. But What about Jinu? He had chosen to be a demon. Why did he betray his master, then, if he had chosen this path? Maybe, demons have a chance of repenting. I have never doubted this much before. We are born hunters, if demons can be forgiven, are we still hunters? If I am not a hunter... What am I? I shook the thoughts away. I pushed my glasses back on, trying to focus on my book. I looked at Rumi, across the living room, on the other sofa, taking notes, and planning our next song. She put on ear pods, closing her eyes and waving her pencil to feel the beat, while scribbling down lyrics. She murmured the lyrics, seeing if it goes with the tune. Normally it's her or Zoey that does the lyrics, I am mostly about the dance moves. Zoey... I looked around and found her in the kitchen, checking out ingredients. She was humming softly, preparing pancakes. Her eyes shone bright from the light through the windows, but mainly of excitement. Her buns were tied a little messier than usual, because of the lack of important events happening today. Suddenly, she called from the kitchen. "Uhh, guys... I think we ran out of ramen. Do you think we should go refill after breakfast?" She turned around, looking between Rumi and me. Rumi almost didn't look up from her notebook, but she turned and replied, "Sure, we'll dress after we finished, also, I think we're almost out if other ingredients, so remember to add that to the list." "Sure," Zoey replied, and immediately came to grab a paper to write the list on.
I widened my eyes in alarm. "Wait, don't forget to turn off the fire! Remember the pancakes." Standing up and putting my book down, urging her to the kitchen. "Huh?" That was her only reply before I pushed her in front of the pan. "Wait, what- Oh my gosh!" She flipped the pancakes, to reveal the one side being golden-brown. Then, she quickly turned the fire down, putting the pancakes on a plate. "Careful," I warned, "They are hot, don't burn yourself." She fumbled over the pancakes, until they are stacked on the plate, cautiously bringing them to the kitchen island. Then she took out two cups of warm coffee that she made a few minutes ago, cooled off a bit. Only when she's done, did I sigh of relief. I commented as I leaned against the island, "Don't forget next time, be more careful. The list is less important right now." She nodded. Then she twirled a strand of her hair. "Sorry, I'll remember next time. Also, the wait for the pancakes to cool, I think we saved it, but it's still a bit more over heated than the others before." She looked away a little, of embarrassment. I sighed, "Just watch the fire next time." I looked at Rumi to see her expression. She was already standing up, looking at the both of us with an amused expression and a raised eyebrow. She crossed her arms, not looking worried at all. I looked back at her, Zoey also following my gaze. "You're not about to laugh now, are you?" I raised my eyebrow right back at her. I was slightly amused when she fought back a laugh with fake laugh coughs, and walked toward us, taking a chair from the island, already sitting. "Let's eat." We all agreed silently as we were all sat down after minutes, and beginning our small meal. All the fun comments unsaid faded not soon after, as a quiet and more serious silence took over. I saw Zoey eating just normally, but Rumi seemed to be distracted again, half eating, mostly lost in thought. I took a deep breath as I finally decided to really figure out what's happening, no matter what. The silence is just unsettling, and Rumi is holding something to herself, I just have the feeling she is. She knows something that moth of us don't know. And not knowing it makes me feel worse, it increases the worry that something is wrong. "Rumi," I spoke, breaking the silence, making Zoey silently jolt, and Rumi just turned towards me. "Yes? What's wrong?" She held a curious gaze, as she responded. "Why are you suddenly being so distant at times? You brushed it off every time, but you can tell us anything. We are a team! We can solve anything together. What's on your mind recently?" I started, soft and trying to give her as less pressure as possible. She stopped, then she asked, careful and hesitant, as if she's still doubting whether or not to tell us. "Do you really want to know?" Before I can respond, I heard a Clang! As Zoey's fork was placed against the plate. She put her hand on Rumi's arm, speaking softly, encouraging. "We are a team, I believe all of us know that. You can tell us anything, if we have obstacles on our paths, we fix it together. In fact, you are the one that brings us together, Rumi." I nodded, agreeing, and I saw Rumi relax a little and she smiled. "Thank you, guys. We couldn't have made it through, up to here, without being together." She paused and looked up, as she started explaining. "I started to doubt... Actually just about our progress so far..." My blood chilled at the words. So far. This is the end of our journey of demon hunting. The golden honmoon is sealed, so what does she mean by, 'so far'? She didn't stop much, and continued again. "The golden honmoon is sealed. Gwi-Ma is defeated. The Saja Boys are gone. But... I started to think..." She hesitated, eyes sparkling with even fear. My heart became hollow, as the sentence was finished. I saw even Zoey widened her eyes in disbelief and shock. "There are chances that all of these... Were mostly lies..." ____________________________________________ Uh, yeah, I like cliffhangers...? Everyone knows this fact from Prologue, the Saja Boys are not completely dead, the golden honmoon isn't sealed. Also, actually credits to some theories I saw, so figure it out, based on some famous ones. I think I did better than I expected, but better if you tell me how well you think I did on Mira's point of view, I tried to stretch it out a little, the burning thing is just for fun. Also, this story is less serious than you would think, it's actually just a ship(s) story, mostly. I won't say which, though. People can't really guess from these chapters' progress so far right now. Hehe. Also, again, try to see if you'll understand what's exactly happening in the Prolouge, and who's speaking. That's all for now! Bye! - Crystal
