The lyrics and message always speak directly to my heart, like God telling me "I've always been there, and I always will be, even if you don't feel it." And he's right- once when I was upset, I sat in my room alone in the dark, stuck in earbuds, and listened to it. And you know what? I had flashbacks to some of the greatest moments of my life- I saw my camp counselor and I, moist eyes, talking about how deceased loved ones have left behind a legacy for Christ. I saw me getting saved, I saw me getting baptized. I saw the good times I had in Youth Group, I saw myself starting to read the Bible more often. I saw the time I prayed for over an hour one night for a relative I had never even met who was on her deathbed (she made almost a full recovery the very next day btw). There's no magic in the song; only a reminder that yeah, life may stink, and life may have given you enough lemons to serve a cup of lemonade to every human in existence, but there's always been /some/ good in your life. Some miracle or moment of peace and happiness that God has given to you. YOU. I've gone through so many hardships, mostly mental but actually a lot of physical ones too, and I truly, wholeheartedly believe that the miracle... is me.
Yes I am COMPLETELY serious. That is what this song has done for me. Or more specifically, what God has done for me through this song.
