Prologue ⯎⬫⯏⬫⯎⬫⯏⬫⯎⬫⯏⬫⯎⬫⯏⬫⯎⬫⯏⬫⯎⬫⯏⬫⯎⬫⯏⬫⯎⬫⯏⬫⯎⬫⯏⬫⯎⬫⯏⬫⯎⬫ Thousands of years after the earth was gone, and humanity was in refuge from the chaos of outer space, a ship called Sunflower discovered a place. A miracle. five planets, FIVE whole planets, with life. Almost inhabitable. But not quite. There were two problems that had to be dealt with first. Problem #1~ Somehow, the substances on the planets are completely unknown. No oxygen whatsoever, no carbon, hydrogen, helium, none of the basics, and nothing else. This changes freezing levels, gas and liquid density, and overall composition of the planets. Problem #2~ Humanity as it was could not survive whatsoever. Humans were not used to gravity. Or sunlight. General durability. Thousands of years in space, and they did not have the physical, nor mental strength to live on any planet. Changes would have to be made. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- About a Leer ago we parked our ship in the orbit of one of the planets. Quite a small planet, only twice as big as "Pluto" would have been. With seven moons. Seven moons. all in a ring around the planet. They seemed to be following the largest one in some sort of biggest to smallest order. Tides must be interesting down there, to say the least. "LERI GET IN HERE NOW" Nia shouted from the lab. "Coming! Just a second!" I responded. I quickly grabbed my bag and ran into the lab, only to see Nia staring at me impatiently. "Stop daydreaming so much. You'll put us behind schedule!" She lectured. "We have a schedule?" I questioned. “That's not the point. The point is, we have a job and you are spending half of the time in your head! Do you have the DNA samples?” Nia questioned. "Yes, they’re right here." I muttered while grabbing the small flasks from my bag. I stuck the samples on the table, “Only managed to get five before I had to come back.” I told Nia. “Though, I guess it should be enough to start.” "Great, now get your head together and go grab something to test on." I went down to the field to grab a gecko. Reptiles are supposedly known to be highly adaptable, so I thought it might be an easy first try. I saw one sticking to a rock and got ready to catch it, but it must have seen me because it crawled to the other side. After a few minutes of it circling around the stone, I finally managed to catch it, putting it in a medium-sized capsule before I could bring it up to the lab. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- That's done! Sorry it was so short, I promise future chapters will be longer. ⯏⬫⯎⬫⯏⬫⯎⬫⯏⬫⯎⬫⯏⬫⯎⬫⯏⬫⯎⬫⯏⬫⯎⬫⯏⬫⯎⬫⯏⬫⯎⬫⯏⬫⯎⬫⯏⬫⯎⬫⯏⬫
