I always like to try to find the Little Dipper :) *DISCLAIMER* This game is not a literal interpretation of where these constellations would be in the night sky. Additionally, many of these constellations are visible outside of the months I have placed them in. This is because many of them are visible year-round. I am going based off when they shine the brightest, or peak viewing time. Press 'h' to see the works cited, as well as the map that I used to make this project. Everything is off of Britannica. Art, programming by me. Facts from Britannica Early release, updating frequently. Vocab (Dictionary.com): -Constellation: any of various groups of stars to which definite names have been given, as Ursa Major, Ursa Minor, Boötes, Cancer, Orion. -Asterism: a constellation -Supernova: the explosion of a star, possibly caused by gravitational collapse, during which the star's luminosity increases by as much as 20 magnitudes and most of the star's mass is blown away at very high velocity, sometimes leaving behind an extremely dense core. -Polaris: the polestar or North Star, a star of the second magnitude situated close to the north pole of the heavens, in the constellation Ursa Minor: the outermost star in the handle of the Little Dipper. -Star: any of the heavenly bodies, except the moon, appearing as fixed luminous points in the sky at night. -Zodiac: an imaginary belt in the sky containing 12 constellations following the apparent path of the sun, moon, and principal planets. Psalm 147:4 "He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names." (KJV) I'm working on this project in addition to a couple other projects (including my "learn a language" project, my "basic atomic theory" project, and a few more), so updates may be a little slow, but when I do update, I'll update a lot.
