Log 004 – January 6th, 2026 / July 11th 4045 Meet Lostling! She's a silver black Rocky Mountain Horse filly (three years old) and she's the sweetest and gentlest horse you'll ever meet. I've had her for about 4-5 months now. During December, though, I started noticing something worrying: her back seemed sore. At first it was subtle, but it didn’t go away. All month long she kept showing signs of discomfort, and I couldn’t figure out why. After doing some research, the two most likely causes seemed to be stress from early training and a saddle that wasn’t fitting quite right. Honestly, it felt like a combination of both. I gave her a long break and let her just rest. Even so, a few days ago she still showed a bit of discomfort, though not nearly as bad as before. I gave her a long bath, some gentle exercise (she’d been cooped up for most of December), and I’ve been keeping a close eye on her ever since. Thankfully, she really does seem to be improving. I won't be using a saddle on her for a while from now on to give her more of a break from it. I think she probably needs a new one anyway. I love her so much, so I'm really glad she seems to be getting better! a horse in my backyard?! :0 wow Still so weird that its winter for me on Earth but summer at Red Sky Hills... A horse on the road in my neighborhood isn't unheard of tho. I've seen someone ride right down the road past our house! Also, once, someone's horses got loose and started galloping through people's front yards XD thankfully, the owners caught up to them before they left the neighboorhood
