Apparently, Scratch isn't allowing DNIs against people. Scratch, this is a serious issue if you don't allow this. DNIs have mainly been used by a lot of the older part of the community (13+ years of age or 3+ years of site experience). If you don't know what a DNI means, it stands for: Do Not Interact. If you're given one of these, that means that you have done something to offend that person or make that person feel uncomfortable interacting with you. But apparently, Scratch doesn't like that. One of my DNI rules is "Hey, pls DNI if you're under the age of 10 as I feel uncomfy w/ that". And apparently that's bad?? Scratch, your rules are contradicting. You say your site is open to everyone, but how are you open to everyone when you punish people who try to set boundaries? Some people on this site use it for toxic reasons. And they can create multiple accounts. Heck, there's a way to get around the IP ban if you're determined enough! Sometimes, the report button isn't enough to stop someone. So you need to use a DNI. Most times, DNIs are used on people when they make a specific person or group of people feel uncomfortable, but not enough to actually report them. An example (that I gave) is DNIing someone who is younger than you. People feel uncomfortable with talking to people younger than them, mainly because they're worried it might be seen as weird by others (Like a 16 year old talking to a 9 year old could yes, sadly, possibly be seen as weird.) So Scratch, if your not allowing DNIs, your user count is going to drop DRASTICALLY. Like, half of your active users gone. And the other half? They'll be struggling every day with homophobia, transphobia, and just not wanting to be on scratch.
Feel free to POLITELY discuss your ideas in the comments. Any ideas attacking me or other people will be automatically deleted. All text on the screen is not real. Its just a visual representation of what a DNI is like.
