Now that Icarusflight and Thistlestorm are older, I needed to stoke up some more conflict to make Icarusflight feel unwanted within his own Clan which is ultimately what drives him to take the trip to the mountains with his brother and the other prophecy cats. To try and find his "sense of self". So, in order to do that, I decided to have him and Thistlestorm rival. Thistlestorm believes Icarusflight to be responsible for the death of so many of his beloved family members, if not directly than indirectly through his actions and his selfishness. He feels as though Icarus doesn't deserve to be forgiven, and that he has scars to prove it. And Thistlestorm literally gets away with bullying Icarusflight because he is mostly shunned by the Clan (aside from his family). You could even say this song is what Thistlestorm's saying TO Icarus. He doesn't understand how everyone could just move on from what happened, and makes it a point to talk about how awful he is. Icarus does not appreciate it, and often fires back at Thistlestorm. Which causes them to go from bully teasing, to tormenting, then argue and sometimes break out into physical fights. Anyways, there's that! Art is by me!
