Coastal | he/him | Coastal was born to Seagull, his mom, and Shore, his dad on a full moon. The three of them lived on the beach. Coastal had a talent for swimming and often entered in friendly beach competitions on seeing who could collect the most seashells in 1 minute. He usually lost, since he has quite a low attention span. Coastal was not the most popular cat, but he wasn't considered an outsider by any means. When he reached the age of 8 moons, there was plans to throw a big party for him to celebrate his birthday. It was going great, until guards poured in and took Coastal. They soon arrived at Queen Bay's underwater palace (they all lived at the beach, so duh lol) She told him that many moons ago she had lost him in a great shark attack, and that the guards had tracked him down. Coastal was confused. Seagull and Shore weren't his parents? He tried his best to brush it off through all the parties his mother hosted for him, but one night, he couldn't take it anymore. He missed his parents, even though he wasn't technically related to them. He managed to escape the palace and used his great swimming to his advantage. The guards chased after him, of course, but due to his small size (he was still a kitten) he lost them. After arriving on shore, he found his way back to his parents. They were overjoyed to see him. Seagull told him she had been a guard for Queen Bay for a long time, but the queen usually mistreats her sons and forgets about them, often prioritizing the daughters since one of them would eventually take over as queen. Seagull took Coastal and ran, knowing that she would be an outcast from the palace from then on. She somehow hid from the guards all these years with Shore, who convinced her to take him since they were, at the time, dating. The only reason they wanted Coastal, she said, was because he was the last kitten that the queen had before the king passed away. They fled the beach and are currently living in the desert, far away from the dangers of the queen and her army.
