What you see in the sky aren’t clouds. It’s bushfire haze. Over 60 separate fires have been burning in the state I live. Today the temperatures were climbing towards 50 degrees in some areas, and winds were around 82 kilometres per hour. You can tell this is bushfire haze because of the sun. It’s an eerie dot, and the smoke is bending the light and making the sunset appear to be in the wrong place. At first I thought these were rain clouds, but when I checked the forecast there was to be no rain for the next 5 days. 3 people are missing, and are presumed dead. This photo was taken from my suburban backyard. If any of you live in the affected areas (Australians will know where I’m referring to), my best wishes go out to you. Stay safe out there, guys.
This summer’s bushfire season has been predicted to potentially be as bad or even worse than Black Saturday.
