If you go back through my old projects you'll see he's all the way back there. So basically he got cursed with this spell thing called Track. He gets hunted by these Souleater creatures that were once Spirits (Check out my other projects for more info Abt them or just ask me). Whoever kills him gets to be unk!llable, but they can only die to the very thing they used against Sora. So Sora eventually loses his seventh life, but instead of dying like a normal person and going to the Intersect (Aka afterlife) he is stuck as a wandering ghost. Whether it be a mercy or a further curse, his Soul didn't decay like a normal Soul would. After like 5000 years he's still pretty sane, just scared and hecka frustrated. Anari ends up accidentially breaking his curse, which leads to their journey to get him to the afterlife. Also, he biologically aged, like, 5 years in the span of 5000. That, plus his time being hunted, equaled around 7 years. So when he meets Anari, he's roughly 22 years old.
