Please pardon this project’s delay, I was a bit busy with the school schedule adjustment and getting used to making 60+ page chapters again (oh, joy…) But hey, Willow Walkers is back on the mind and it’s time! to! grind! so let’s get into the yearly review even though there’s like five chapters that came out this year (oops…) So! 2025 was quite a year for Willow Walkers- being my now newest least productive year ever! And, well, that was not the plan, but sue me, I tend to get into things wayy too easily. Blame my fixations but thank Stranger Things for being the excellent background noise to motivate me! There’s only 22 chapters left for the public. 19 more for me. And I have been hard at work to make sure that I can finally complete this story. Well, onto the reflection! Favorite Chapter to write? Chapter 58 and it’s not even close. We are finally entering the wedding scenes and these are the most fun, and exciting moments in the story. In my opinion. Chapter 58 is just one example of the writing improvements that you can visibly see, and I just got to give Blossom the spotlight she deserves. It also marks the beginning of… the end of everything, I suppose. The wedding is the most catastrophic deconstruction of everything you thought WW was going to do. Or maybe you did think that, who knows! If we aren’t counting released chapter, then this belongs to chapter 61. What was your favorite chapter to illustrate? I suppose I would sayyy.. chapter 57! Blossom and Finder are my dearest eebies despite their obviously flawed logic and character, so it’s fun having them interact! Also I think this is when my expressions really took off. Any new characters I introduced this year? ..Did we introduce anyone this year?.. Wait actually there were a couple of side characters like Gander and (officially) Shark if you remember them; but we did get Salmon’s assistant Cougar, and we also got MUTT!! Oh my god how could I forget about Mutt? Don’t worry she’ll get a name soon but asides from those folks.. there aren’t many wolves to introduce! I think just two more minor characters at the end of the mini arc, and one minor antagonist who we’ve seen. multiple times but has had no canon/true timeline appearance. Least Favorite Chapter of the year? mmmmmchapter 55. The dialogue is so clunky but these scenes were written out years ago and at that point I was too lazy to rewrite plot or such… also it would have been difficult to make that plot flow well to begin with. ughhh 14 year old me you were NOT COOKING!! And 12 year old me the PLOT WAS NOT FIRE!! WHAT ARE YOU DOIIINNGGG!! Anything surprising about this year? The amount of people who still showed up here despite constant inactivity /j. Besides that, OCtober popping off and immediately becoming toxic wasn’t on my bingo card. Also the cameos getting over a hundred remixes- that’s pretty crazy in its own way. Any changes in character rankings? Iiitttts the same pretty much! 1. Blossom 2. Poison 3. Auburn 4. Mint 5. Clearwing Honor ment 1: Finder Honor ment 2: Marigold yeah so Clearwing isn’t here yet but you’ll meet it soon! promise she’ll be a hit. Next years plans? (this years plans) Uhhhhh maybe hopefully finish the comic I love scratch, I have a wonderful community, but I am SO ready to have my own freedom once again. I have bigger plans for when I leave, and I know that more bangers will come from my much better storytelling. Hopefully I can start the TBM backlog this year!
