I knew I'm not allowed to howl because I'm the omega, so I just have to stay and keep quiet until the alpha announces the meeting. Alpha snapped as a warning to sit down and stop howling. Dogs straightened their backs, sitting as their eyes never left alphas. I sit straight, too. Acorn ran up to me and sat down, panting. "You're late!" i whispered, and we both giggled. "i know, i had to run around and obey the elders." he stuck his tongue out and made a funny face as i nudged him as he wobbled a bit, and pushed me playfully. He smiled with his teeth, and looked away quickly, trying not to laugh. Then alpha snarled to get acorns attention (The leader isnt called by name like Wolf or moon, they usally call him "alpha" so in my universe, they call the leader that but their real name doesnt change. Dogs sometimes call him by name, but its disrepectful and agaisnt the code so ya). Acorn snapped his head up quickly and dashed away from me, not looking back. my heart sank as i heard Moon, alphas mate, say, "Never sit with the omega." I look away, grunting in fury as alpha continued speaking. "today is a big day," he said. "some pups are ready to become apprentices. Rosie, juniper, holly, and acorn, and hazel." he shot a eye at me, making me wince. "Omega or not," he continued. "you will train as apprentices in the pack, keeping us safe sound. Juniper, your mentor will be cleopatra the golden retreiver. Acorn, yours will be sorrel the shephered. Holly, yours will be Loki the boder collie, and hazel, your mentor will be atlas the mountain dog, and rosie, your mentor will be dawn the sheltie." he said proudly. acorn nosed me, and i was so happy. I was no longer the omega.
