For those of you who don't know, my mom is very strict with electronics. Out of literally nowhere, my laptop just decided to like... stop working??? It made it where to sign back in, I had to get my mom to do it. I had literally no excuse to get back on this laptop until very recently, so that's why I haven't been on. I missed you guys <333 I think it was good for me to take a break tho bc I was kinda getting addicted to checking my messages ToT ANYWAYS ABOUT MY OC >:D I love his design sm The majority of his lore is umm... not safe for this website ToT (rated R) so I'm gonna keep the lore brief/cryptic but I think that this is the most interesting OC I've made so far. I was actually gonna use his design as a D4D but then got too attached. So lemme introduce you to Charlie >:3 *warning: this is not suitable for young viewers* Charlie is a demon who claims his purpose is to intervene in moments when people are suppressing their queerness. He likes to describe this as “turning people gay,” though that’s more how he justifies himself than how it actually works. He exists inside television shows that feature queer representation. If you watch one of these shows and resonate a little too strongly with it, Charlie notices. Under the right circumstances, he can step out of the screen and into the real world. Charlie insists he can tell the difference between people who are genuinely straight and people who are repressing something about themselves, and he only approaches the latter. Whether he’s always right is… questionable. His appearance is deliberately androgynous and easily adjustable (he can change his looks/voice slightly to be more stereotypically masculine or feminine) . He shifts presentation to match whatever his target finds disarming. Charlie doesn’t experience gender as an identity so much as a performance or tool. He defaults to he/him out of habit, but will use other pronouns when it suits his intentions. Once he's in the real world, Charlie doesn’t force anything outright. Instead, he creates intimacy through emotional pressure and charm. He can see into a person’s thoughts and uses that knowledge to guide the encounter in a direction he wants, convincing himself that enjoyment retroactively justifies the means. Despite how he operates, Charlie is aroace. Whatever he engages in is purely seen as transactional to him, another tool he uses to reach what he considers a good outcome. When it’s over, Charlie disappears back into the television. The person is left alone with a sudden realization with no clear explanation for what just happened, only the certainty that they can’t go back to how things were before. Charlie considers this a success. Disclaimer: He is a messed up demon doing messed up demon things. His actions involve manipulation and are not a statement about aroace/agender identities or queer people in general.
